We are going for a week the 17th-24th of March.

I would take just the 50 (for low light shots) and the 18-55 for walking around.

If you're looking to get an additional lens, I'd look at one of the 18-200's out there.

55 is too short for may tastes. I like zoom, lots of it!. 200-300 is ideal for getting good shots from the shows, parades and AK safari ride.

If you only want to bring one lens only, then the 18-55.
If you have a small budget to burn, get a Sigma 18-125 (I really hate the 18-200 version) for about $300. Believe me, you WILL need the 188 mm end.

I have the lenses that I specified....but will be bringing them all with me. I may leave a few in the room or in my lowepro it has room for my other things I need to bring.

I am going to use the 75-300 while we are animal kingdom for sure

75-300 too heavy I am thinking but I am still going to bring it

I don't know which 75-300 you're referring to (I hope it's not the Sigma f/2.8) but in most cases, you don't know heavy until you carry a 70-200 f/2.8L for 10 hours straight. :lmao:

it's about 1.5 Kgs (approx. 3.3 lbs) + the Canon body + battery grip. Usually with Sigma 500 DG Super attached too... totalling about 6.5 lbs. of weight.

That's a good little workout :rotfl2:

I just got this sucker through amazon.com for about $260. I'm very pleased with it, and use it with the Pentax *ist DL. Haven't tested it yet at WDW, but I like the size and weight and -- most importantly -- the results.
