So Cal ticket question

I have a question about the Southern California tickets. I am technically a southern california resident (live halfway between SF and LA) but my zip code says I am. I am originally from norcal though. I see the 2fer tickets at the grocery store, can i just buy them and use them for my friends or do i need to show them my id when im at disneyland? I don't have any socal id, only my school id. how does it work?

My in laws used those 2fer passers from VONS yesterday and they didn't ask for ID or anything. They just handed them the tickets, they scanned them and in they went.
