AAA help for newbie!

Hi all. I'll say it first... I'm a total newbie! I'm new to the forums here (although I've been reading them for a few weeks) and planning our first :sunny: trip to Disney!!

I'm looking for some help in finding a good AAA agent to help me book POFQ for November 2006. My understanding (and please help me out if I'm wrong) is that to get a room discount with dining I need to book through them.

The agent I spoke with actually gave me a higher rate than Disney! She was nice enough but did not really seem like she would go to bat for a better rate.

I don't know if it matters but I live in southern NJ.

I can hardly stand to wait to book this, but, like everyone, I need the best deal.

You are right, the room is on the part of the package that is discounted and to use the AAA discount + dining, you need to book thru AAA which should be at a lower rate IF the AAA rate is available for you're dates.

Here's a followup thought. If I book through AAA now and a promotion pops up later, can I apply it and adjust the bottom line? :confused3

I know for our 2004 WDW vacation a promotion came out, that my sister had read about here, on the Dis. We knew about it before our AAA TA did, so keep your eyes open, you may have to alert your agent on promotions if she/he is not Disney educated.

I don't remember the exact amount, but we did end up saving money. :cool1:
