When will ticket prices go up?

we are not planning to visit the parks until january of 2007, we plan to buy nonexpiration tickets, since we will only be visiting parks one trip per year. does anyone know how often or when ticket prices increase? I wonder if I should buy the tickets in advance before the prices increase and just put the tickets away till january. any thoughts?

Ticket prices are always subject to change at any time...but for the last 2 years there has been a price increase around New Years Day. If you budget allows you buying the tickets now- imo things only get more expensive, so take advantage of the lower cost ticket.

They went up on Jan 1 2006 - so they probably won't go up again until Jan 1, 2007. I bought ours on Dec 31. The part that went up on the tickets was the no expiration portion. It went from $100 to $135 (i think)for the non expiration on a 10 day hopper. Overall I saved $50 a ticket.

Also, the discount to buy them thru mail order decreased. We saved $11 a ticket, but the new offer is only $5 or $6.

Plus there usually is a thread a week or 2 before the price increase to give everyone a heads up.

Several years ago, there was a September price increase, but lately they have been in January.
