Hello everyone, I am finally getting the chance to visit DLR in August, with my son and daughter in law,who works for the airlines....She can get a rate at DLH for 192.00 a night in August(this sounds like a good rate to me) I have never been and have no experience on the matter, can someone who knows the area and the rates help with a little advice....thanks so much

Hello :wave2: Last May, we got an airline discount of $169.00 per night at the DLH and had a room overlooking DTD. We were able to see the fireworks from our room. One afternoon while resting in our room, we were able to watch part of a wedding. It was pure Disney magic! The bride arrived in the Cinderella coach, accompanied by a footman and trumpet player. It was so beautiful. I loved staying at the DLH. It was a splurge for my birthday and was well worth it. Most of the time we stay across the street at the good neighbor hotels which enable me to vacation more often. :teeth:

Hi
I am going June 28th and I got a rate of 193.00 for a Pool View room, I thought it was not such a good deal compared to the WDW discounts for AIrline employess. However talking to several people, it seems that that is the best discount for Airline employees that is available. Oh well.
I know we will have a lot more fun than 193.oo woorth per day.

That is a nice discount but not the usual 50% given to airline employees. Does anyone know why airline employees get such discounts at hotels? I never understood why and why hotel employees dont then get airline discounts....

Its because they only block off a few rooms for the discount,We have gotten some great deals at WDW,but I am pretty happy about the DLH discount as well

The good neighbor hotels that we checked with also had airline discounts, but at a much lower savings. Does anyone know if the airport shuttle service from LAX or Orange County has a discount? The shuttle at the Orlando airport has a 50% off rate for airline employees. Thanks

Airline employees get hotel discounts with many hotels, because the airlines give them so much business. Sure it's for a lower negotiated rate, but it's booked rooms nevertheless. Dh is a pilot, and in additon to the mostly free travel, the hotel savings are another perk!
