View Full Version : OT - Toronto to Vegas - flight cost?
Anyone ever fly from the Toronto area to Vegas? I'm trying to talk dh into a trip later this year to Vegas, but I'm worried about costs. We wouldn't be going to gamble, rather, we'd want to see some shows and check out some of the hotels on the strip. Any info re: flight costs would be great. TIA :teeth:

Are you close enough that you would consider flying on Southwest from Buffalo? I am going to LV next week with DH for a conference and I'm paying $76/each way including taxes so about $160 US. Anything I priced on Expedia was about $400-$500. I know there are always packages with hotel so I'm not sure how that impacts the flight cost.

I flew to Vegas from Buffalo last year on Southwest also, a non-stop flight, it's way cheaper than flying from Toronto

It's also a lot cheaper to fly from Detroit if you're sw of Toronto. :)

Thanks all. It's definitely worth looking into. I wonder if there will ever be a time for cheaper flights out of Toronto again!!!

From Bufallo, SWA is not alway cheapest. I have booked 3 flights in a row, all much cheaper then and SWA DING.
Return, USD Totals taxes in:
United - $188
NWA - $150
AA - $140
Just keep watching for those sales!

I actually just booked my first vegas trip on a whim just 2 weeks ago. Was surfing around and found a deal through AA. It came to 124 CND for a round trip (out of buffalo) So even with my hotel and everything me and my friend are going there for 5 days for 270 CND each. It was too good to pass up, especially since we also are more into shows and sightseeing then gambling (though i'm sure we'll try our luck on some slot machines)
Now I just gotta wait till June.....
The way I found the cheap flight was experimenting with dates on expedia. When I got something good i'd then check out that air carriers official site, which lowered the cost by 20-50 bucks depending.
But the cheap flights do fill up quickly, I took to long the first time I found the cheap flight for a May trip and we lost it (the next cheapest tix for the same flight were now 349 CND  ) So if the airlines allows it put a 24 hour hold on anything you may be doing. It gives you time to decide with a bit less pressure.
Hope you find a good deal :thumbsup2

HAHA thats awesome! mom _rules, When is july? Our trip is actually july as well. (typed my last message too fast last night) Were there from July 2-6
For hotels, there's a lot of good deals when theres no convention and it super hot (such as july haha) Were staying at the sahara, which is an older hotel, and quite north on the strip, but it's on the monorail system, which was something we really wanted. (and the other monorail hotels were way out of price range for a last minute deal type trip)
We got an amazing rate of 49.52 CND a night at expedia.
I just bought the unnoficial guide to vegas 2006 and am loving it for tips on shows and all the amazing meal and deals to be had! :woohoo:

We booked with Delta (out of Buffalo)before Xmas to go this coming June and the price was CAN$360 return for both of us.
If I look now in the Delta website at the exact same flight...its US$450 per person !
Delta is good for being able to choose your seats online,up front at no charge.
The down side is that it goes via Cinncinatti with a 1-1/2 hr stop over...but it no biggie. Air Canada and even Westjet were way too much $.

Yeah, AA doesn't have any direct flights. But they have many flights with quick connections. Ours goes to chicago and were only there for under an hour.
And like most people have been saying, and extra hour or 2 compared to over triple the price for aircanada, it's worth it :thumbsup2

I agree, a 50 min stop is worth the savings. Trip is last week of July-I think it's gonna be a little warm.
