Hey Boston DISers,

It's been a while since we've had a Boston DIS meet, so I was thinking another DIS meet is in order here! We had such a great time at the Fire & Ice meet when WebmasterKathy was in town, I was thinking going back to Fire & Ice would be a great idea!

So, what does everyone think of a Saturday afternoon DIS meet on either Apil 22 or April 29th?

Please choose one or both dates in the poll attached to this thread. The date with the most numbers will be the date of the meet. I'll keep this poll open for two weeks. So get those votes in!

Sounds good to me, DH and I had a great time at the last Boston meet! :thumbsup2 I voted for April 29th, because April 22nd is the end of my DSs spring break and I'll be away that week. Might be back in time for the 22nd, but not sure yet. The 29th is definitely better for us though! ::yes::

I voted for the 29th. Will be in WDW 15th-22nd, so I hope the 29th gets the vote too.

I bought them waaaay back....as soon as they became available. When my friend found out I was taking my dd, she wanted to go and take her dd also. THat was in maybe early Nov. She could find nothing on-line so called her sister's ticketbroker. I guess it cost her an arm and a leg but she got tickets for the same performance I got, and 2 rows in front of me to boot. But, her tickets were about triple what mine were from what she said.

Hey Mary Ann......is the taxi going to be up and running?? I'm hoping for the 29th....keep it up people!!!!

We have a home building project in process and April/May is going ot be a critical time so I don't know which date, if either, would be better.

Maybe I should just vote for the 29th for Diane ;) :teeth:

Diane - wish I could do the 29th but that's the weekend of WalkAmerica (April 30) and I will be participating in the one on the Cape Cod Canal.

So it's April 22 or nothing... :(

Well, originally either date worked for me, but after consulting my calender, I find that I'm in Boston on the 22nd aleady....at 'Wicked'! So, it looks like the 29th is my date of choice. Come on 29th........vote for the 29th so I can go!!!

Sorry to stir up the pot here, but I voted for the 22nd! :) I'm working on a trip to WDW so we may be in the World on the 29th (woot!). But I've never been to a DIS meet before so I'm really hoping it all works out. I LOVE Fire & Ice - good choice!

Question - would this meet be appropriate for my boys to come along or is it adults only? (my boys adore Jellyrolls!)

I have 4 extra for Friday 5/12 7pm show in Boston. DD asked me to buy for her friends and now the school has a trip that day so they are not going to go.
If you want to buy them send me a PM. I was going to put them on ebay. pixiedust:

See it wouldn't be a problem for Katie if Julia was there. They're old enough that I wouldn't have to worry about them getting lost or something. They could sit together and forget they were actually with the old ladies!!!
But, it only works if we go on the 29th....come on people, vote 29!!!

Last time we met during the early afternoon and did brunch. Then headed off to just walk around the city. So, I would imagine that it would be early afternoon again...evenings just don't work for us.

OK, super, super, super bummed out right now. Just came back from a Girl Scout Meeting and I had the GS VT trip listed as April 7th weekend, but I'm wrong. Guess what weekend it is????? :sad: :sad: Yep, can't make it the 22nd OR the 29th.

Don't know how I made that mistake, but I can't back out since I am the CPR/First Aid Mom for our troop. Since we are the only troop on this trip, if I don't go, the troop don't go :guilty: .

I'm fianlly getting to this post. Its so nice to see some familiar faces/names around and some new ones. We had such a blast at the last F&I meet, I'm looking forward to this one.
As of now I could do either, with the 29th being better so I'm voting for 29th.

Seriously, it will all depend on DD's soccer schedule - she plays Saturdays in the spring and we don't have a schedule yet.

Thanks for the reminder! I think winter has been too long, I totally forgot about spring sports. Shoot! By that time Colt will be having Saturday soccer games and Cam will have begun baseball too. You can disregard my vote for the 29th, because I have no idea which Saturday would be better until I get the sport schedules which wont be for a while yet. :rolleyes2
