Eating on a budget

As I'm going on my own as usual to DLP I'm not that bothered about eating in the 'posher' end of the restaurant market. [I'd rather be spending my cash on 'dustcatchers' my family call them. [Priceless treasures?? ]:lmao: :lmao:

On previous occasions I've eaten at the Silver Spur - I think it was - and the Col Hathis. Can anyone suggest any reasonably cheap eateries at DLP? I tend to use my holiday to graze on stuff I wouldn't eat regularly at home so I'm not too proud for the hamburger and chips route. :wave:

Pizzeria Bella Notte in Fantasyland does some nice Italian meal deals - we've eaten Pizza and Lasagne in there before and it was lovely - best Pizza on the resort. The €9,90 meal deals make it both a cheap and delicious eating option.

Plaza Gardens Restaurant may not look the cheapest but we paid €20 each and had a 3 course hot and cold buffet - great for having a big feed and you get to try lots of different dishes. End sup being very reasonable given that you can eat as much as you want, get three courses and can try lots of different things.

We always find Annette's Diner is good value for very nice food. :)

I had some really lovely fajitas in Fuente Del Oro in Frontierland. I think it was a meal/drink option for about 11 euros. DH chose the chili con carne and really enjoyed that. I think the fastfood at DLRP is superior to the fastfood in theme parks in the UK.

I always really enjoy the Mexican place in Frontierland Fuente del Oro - it is good value and you get a good portion of everything too!

I quite like some of those ideas. They don't open all the restaurants all the time though so sometimes choices are a bit limited.

Make that 5 :thumbsup2 for Fuente Del Oro. We once took the chicken wings, spicy rib, fajitas, chilli and shared it out with everyone having a taste. Troops preferred this to any non character meal we had.
Victoria's is nice for a sandwich :)
Out of the park Annette's is our favourite.

I also really liked the Backlot in the Studios. DH had a croque monsieur and I had a really yummy tuna salad baguette. Healthy as well as delicious! :)

The New York Sandwich shop in the village is good, the panini are nice and hot if its cold outside.

Also Billy Bob's has a large bar menu on the lower floors which has pleny of choice and cheaper then the €25 all you can eat on the top floor.

Yes, like said Chrismoo, Cow Boy cookoot is very valuable! You have musicians that play country music and the "assiette texane" is only abble in this restaurant.

Fuente del oro is great but I find it very noisy when the park is crowded, because it is just near the Big Thunder Mountain entrance...

At fantasyland, if you like famous "fish and chips" you can take a meal at Mister toad hall restaurant, but you have to be lucky (it is not often open...)
