I was just curious as to how much dress steaming costs? On the intimate package, they recommed Carolyn Evans, but I am wondering about how much this will be? Thanks in advance! pixiedust:

Ditto for me...it was comforting to have her come...you'll see from my trip log that I wasn't thrilled with her...but it was better than nothing--and I certainly couldn't do it:-D

My DD bought her gown at David's Bridal, and they said that David's in Orlando would steam it for free before the wedding as long as they did the alterations. They said to call ahead and bring it in a couple of days beforehand.

I'm shipping my dress and DD's dress to Carolyn Allen's as well. Since she'll be delivering tuxes for my boys, she can deliver the dresses and steam them.
She does indicate that if you are shipping to her to not include anything that is not to be steamed, i.e. shoes, etc. I have nothing but good things to say about her customer service. I've had a lot of questions and she's been very ehlpful with all of her answers.

Hey there!

Definitely use Carolyn Allens! I used them in December for my wedding.
They were on time and so friendly. I used them for my gown preservation too.
I had a nightmare on the morning of my wedding. Somehow between my home and the hotel I got a SMALL HOLE in the organza right on the front top of my dress. All she needed was a needle and a thread and the nice lady from Carolyn Allens FIXED IT! You could never tell it was there! She definitely got a tip for that!
Hope that helps
P.S. Definitely purchase the altar arrangement for the wedding pavilion. It was worth it!
Thanks

I used Carolyn Allen too. She did my dress in my room and did a great job. I didn't get to talk with her because she was doing the dress upstairs and I was downstairs getting hair and make up done.

I was told this also--I didn't take advantage of it because I just LOVED the ease of Carolyn Allen's service.
