I've been reading the threads about troubles with US Air ressies, and I personally have two friends with trips this weekend getting fouled up because of changes by US Air.

But I have ressies with SWA for Albany NY to MCO in mid-October, and everything seems to be fine. I haven't called them, and I will the week of the trip, but when I look online everything is exactly as scheduled.

How is SWA doing it? Or have any of you had a problem in the last few weeks?

SWA's schedules very rarely change. At least they haven't over the past couple of years! We've been on the same flights nearly every trip. I honestly believe that's part of what makes them my favorite airline.

I wouldn't worry too much. There have been no reports of problems with them, and you can be sure that any problems would have been mentioned by now. I believe things are back to "business as usual" for them.

My sister is flying out on SWA at month's end and according to SWA the flights will be as they were booked.

SWA is one of the only airlines not to have cancelled any flights or laid off employees after returning to the air following the attacks. Airline industry analysts predict they will be one of the few airlines that will survive fiscally and organizationally intact. Their burn rate during the days following the attacks when no one could fly were much less than most other airlines...by MILLIONS of dollars.

So SWA appears pretty solid at present.

I fly Southwest out of Albany quite often. I have not flown since the attack on our country though. We next go in January. I've been tracking their Orlando flights lately on the Southwest site and the Albany County Airport site. The Orlando flights are still the same so far and pretty much on time lately.

If they're showing as "unavailable" it just means the flight is sold out at that price. If they're not showing up at all (unusual), then I'd call the airline and ask. Check your compuer screen, though to make sure that you're seeing all the options. Can you tell I've had that happen? :D

We had the same issue today for our flight back on Nov. 18th. My wife called and they said the flight number was changed, but the time was changed. They said it was for "security purposes", but would not elaborate or explain why it was missing from the website. She was very nice about it. She also sent us a new ticketless confirmation by email. Hope this helps.

SWA has delayed/cancelled the delivery of new aircraft that was scheduled between now and the end of the year. They are cancelling some flights so they can add service to Norfalk (as scheduled) and add some of the flights that were scheduled. Check press release on website.
