Wait to purchase tickets or not ??!!

Well, I've been patiently watching prices for quite some time now
for a Nov 4 trip from either Rochester or Buffalo to Tampa (or Orlando).
I don't know how much longer I should realistically wait....
The 'great deals' everyone always talks about certainly never happen
out of Rochester.

Any thoughts ?

I wouldn't wait too many more days. Out of our airport in Kansas, the best deals are for purchases 21 days out or more. Since you are just a month away, you are getting close. I would book if you can find a price you can live with! I know exactly what you mean about good airfares not happening where you fly out of. We fly out of ICT in Wichita, and we ALWAYS pay more for flights than people flying farther distances than us. Hope you find a good price!

We are buying tickets tomorrow from Rochester to Orlando for next August for 156.00pp roundtrip. I don't know what the fares look like for Nov. but they certainly have come down a lot for August over the last 4 weeks. Good luck

great deal ! The best I can see out of Roch for 11/4 is 198. Since there are 5 of us flying everything counts ! Can I ask which airline you used and whether you booked online or with a TA ? I've been searching all of the online sites and the individual airline sites for quite a while. I will purchase before it becomes '21 days out'.

We've been checking cheaptickets.com daily. Our departure date isn't available yet, so we are waiting to buy. I can't remember which airline was cheapest, but it was either usair or delta. We were considering jetblue, but they don't post dates until 8 months out, and I am afraid to miss these great rates now.

Try using Travelocity.com but when you start the search indicate that your dates are flexible so you can see what fares pop up. There was a $110 fare round trip out of Buffalo, leaving on the 4th, depending on your return date.
