I would love to know how many DISers will be there the last week of March with us. We will be there March 25-April 2 at ASMovies. This might of been asked already but I missed it.

How crowded does everyone think it will really be??? It's Spring Break for us.

I have been during this same week many times and it has always (for the most part ;) ) been fine - some years much better than others! The weather was usually gorgeous.

Great weather report! I never realized that kind of info. was available. I was just checking the weather in Orlando for the next 10 days becasue for the last several years, our trip has been last couple days of Feb. - first week in March. The weather was usually good, except for LAST YEAR! Too cold to swim. For that week, the crowds had always been very manageable.

We will be at OKW this year March 26-31 - this is our spring break. Last year my DD (now 7) was simply devastated about missing kindergarten.... so we made the trip coincide with the break this year. I hope the crowds are not too bad - Easter is still a couple of weeks off!

I'm taking my wonderful bride of 19.5 years, DS7, and DD4. We will be there 3/25-4/2. We are staying in Fort Wilderness Campground (3rd in FW, 7 total).

$500.00 in gas to tow a camper there and back from NC :eek: , but then I get to sleep in MY bed. :tongue:

Just finished up ADR's (did the critical ones weeks ago) today, and reserved a golf cart for use in the campground.

We are flying Continental out of Cleveland.... I booked tickets in Dec. and got. airfares for about $250 each.... I couldn't seem to find dates we needed with Airtran, or much cheaper, but I would definitely prefer AKC airport.... much easier!
This will be our 3rd year at OKW - renting points. We have only stayed in a studio, but the kids are 4 and 7, so it works out pretty well. I love OKW. It is quiet, pretty, laid back, and relaxing. We love having a private balcony, we love being able to park our car outside the room, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I think the 2 bedrooms are huge - I am sure you will have plenty of space. Be sure to take a boat ride to Downtown Disney if you have the chance. The last 2 years we have been able to see Epcots fireworks from our balcony. One year while at the pool they had a DJ and a pool party with games and prizes.... my daughter enjoyed it very much. But the best part for me is waking up to sounds of birds in the morning - not doors slamming or people talking.
Can't think of anything else - you might want to request waterview? I'm pretty sure most of the units have this anyway.... It is a very spread out resort so you may have to walk to get to the hospitality area if you don't have car.... We have never used the bus service, but I have read online that it can be slow since the buses go through the whole resort....

Yeah, an average of 80 during the day and 57 overnight is what I saw on weather.com. I guess we won't be hitting the water park at 9 a.m. (at least I won't!). It doesn't matter what the forecast, I will always pack all the wrong stuff! :rotfl:

We're going March 27-April 3. We've gone other years at this time, and we generally start out the day with a sweatshirt over a t-shirt and shorts, and later in the day we can just tie the sweatshirt around our waists or shoulders. If we are still in the parks at night (or go back after spending the afternoon at the hotel) we find we need the sweatshirt again -- especially if waiting for something like Fantasmic or Spectromagic.

I personally am doing mostly capris/cropped pants. I have those northern Illinois white winter legs (ICK!! - anybody tried that newish lotion by Jergens - I think - that gives your skin a "Healthy glow"? kind of a little tan, I think....). ;)

We have an evening flight from Chicago, so we will wear our warmer clothes down. It is hard packing for 5 people for an 11 night trip when the weather is so up and down! I do not care to do laundry on vacation!! :rolleyes: We only want one suitcase per person, too.

We haven't been to WDW in March for a couple of years, but I remember the weather is beautiful. Not too cool and not too hot. Even those lows are for the middle of the night. The most you really need is a sweatshirts and light jacket.

We are leaving March 26 and staying through April 3 for a stay at POR, which was Dixie Landings the last (and only) time I was there. This will be my wife's first time. Let me tell you something - coming from Canada we'll be tempted to just bring shorts because that's a lot nicer weather than we get this time of year (even the lows ... are far higher than the average high temp) but I'm sure prudence will win the day over such a silly thing.

the last week of March is spring break for us, here in north central WI. We're staying at the AS Movies. I'm a little worried about the crowds, however, with Easter being two weeks later I'm thinking that it will be very manageable! The last time we went to Disney World (2 yrs. ago) Easter was one week later...and we heard numerous times from workers that weeks before and after Easter are always much busier. I'm hoping this is true!!!
Regardless of the crowds, we will have a wonderful, wonderful time!!!!

I'm a little worried about the crowds starting April 1st because not only will it be spring break for many folks, there is also going to be a huge conference going on, which is why I'm going this time of year. To give you an idea of the size of this conference, it's the first time in the history of the conference they have had to close registration because they were reaching capacity!

The reason you might not find resort availability, here's a list of the conference hotels: Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, POR, POFQ, CSR, ASmo, ASsp... and they ended up having to add more conference hotels to handle the number of attendees, so that list now also includes: AKL, CBR, BWI, and BC.

Fortunately, during that week in April, we'll be in the conference all day... so those 6,000-7,000 folks should be at the parks.

It is the Sungard Higher Education Summit conference. They are the software company that provides the programs that many colleges and universities use to conduct daily business. Of course they also work with a bunch of other software vendors who provide specialized products. So, in addition to the Sungard folks, all the vender reps will be there AND all the college administrator folks. In addition to CSR being a conference hotel, they are also using the conference center there. Oh, and I have a feeling you'll see more of them in business casual wear than suits... I know I'm not packing any suits! :goodvibes :smooth:

We've been twice before during Spring Break ('03 and '04), as well as three times in the summer (way too hot and just as crowded) and once the first week of December (got very cold at night). We much prefer this time of year there because of the great weather.

Not sure if this helps, but MK has EMH on March 25th, and MGM has EMH on the 26th. At AK you are looking at either 8-5pm or 9-6pm, which leaves much of the evening wide open. We typically go to AK on the days we plan to head over to AKL for dinner and then over to DTD for the rest of the evening.

The time went so fast! We got back at midnight PST, 3am Orlando time and are pretty wiped out. It was great though. Did the rest of you have a wonderful time?

We had an awesome time, too! I have a trip report going up, and there are at least 3 others in process from last week, too. Your turn -- Iggipolka and vascubaguy.

Maybe there should be a board just for March 25-April 2 TRs!

We also had a wonderful time. We got home early yesterday morning. We are all totally wiped out. The kids actually slept for 15 hours straight. Today I am busy catching up on email, and doing about a million loads of laundry so I wont be writing a trip report any time soon but someday maybe if I ever get time.
