Did anyone watch the last episode of ER (Mon C4 or Thurs/Sun E4). I was almost crying along with Abby at the end. :guilty:

It was really moving. Really good drama.

Yep I know what you mean. There have been a few sad storylines already this series :(

I agree though - it's great

02-21-2006, 04:36 PM
Its going to get even worse for Abby

02-21-2006, 05:04 PM
!!!! I missed it!! Why was she upset?? And for goodness sakes..how is it gonna get worse!! Talk about hanging in mid air!!!

i saw it, ER is a great series this time around. i was worried it would be rubbish without carter :worried: but its not :cheer2:

It was really upsetting.

This season is just getting better and better.

Abby gets pregnant by Luca but there is something seriously wrong with the baby and they have to decide whether to continue with the pregnancy.

I wish I hadnt read that but I had to! that like someone sending you a text by mistake and ringing you and asking you not to read it!
I love ER and was also worried that it wouldnt be the same without carter but its getting better and better, last weeks was so sad but the acting in it is amazing, the little girl was great. Luca is an absolute babe, lucky abby! wish my doctor looked like that.

Widget the story was about a little girl who had been kidnapped by a guy who had then sexually abused her and when they tried to capture him she got shot too.Abby was her Dr but Clemente and Luka spent the whole episode giving her different advice on how to treat her and the little girl died. Abby was really upset and went round to Luka's flat to tell him how childish she thought they'd been and ended up in tears saying she couldn't stop thinking about the little girl and how scared she must have been and how much she must have suffered.Which ended with Luke giving her a 'kiss' ;)

I'd heard about her getting pregnant . I think this episode is probably when it happens but I hadn't heard there was going to be something wrong with the baby :( . That's a bit rough haven't they both suffered enough :worried:

I've found since having DD I'm more prone to getting upset at these kind of drama storylines. But it won't stop me watching more ;)

Oh I love ER, but I do miss Carter :goodvibes

02-22-2006, 06:38 PM
I miss Carter too but not as much as I thought I would. It was the same with George Clooney - I thought I'd never watch again when Doug left but they've kept me hooked. I really love Abby's character I think she has developed so much since being Carol's midwife to how she is now. There is a touch of Dr Greene in there (he was another character I thout I'd really miss) and I like Neela too. :thumbsup2

It's great that it's still so good after however many years it is (11 or 12?)

02-23-2006, 04:12 AM
I still miss the original cast :goodvibes

Tonights episode had much more of a buzz (no crying at the end for me ;) but I'm sure it was hard to do in the states after 9/11.
Wasn't Neela brilliant :)

tonight was a very good episode, i did cry when the dog found the man

02-24-2006, 03:16 AM
sniffle free for me too (but only just!)

02-24-2006, 03:38 AM
I missed the last 20 minutes, did anything much happen?

02-24-2006, 04:30 AM
um lets see (I'll do in white in case anyone sky+ it for later (just highlight over below.)

The young Mum (was that Serena Williams?) died and Nela told her kids. The bloke with the dodgy heart died surrounded by loads of friends and family - basically Pratt was keeping his heart going with compressions until the man told him to stop

The bloke who was getting married decided that as he had a second chance at life he was going to sieze it, call off the wedding and actually he thought he was gay

The nurse manager came back saw Sam had rehired Nurse (Haleh?) and told her that was good news and she'd done the right thing

Luca and Abbey had a um it was fun but we don't want to spoil our friendship moment

Neela so home to see Galant arriving by taxi cue hug in street blocking all traffic

Carter is contracted for 4 episodes this season so he will be on screen at some stage

great episode, I blubbed when the dog waited by his dead owner and I loved the awkward bit at the (almost ) end with Luca and Abby the timing of them looking back at each other was perfect. Oh yes just remembered I blubbed again when the man asked pratt to let him die, I do like a good cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree the acting was fantastic and very little was said it was all in the looks between them (or behind them :rotfl: )

I had a thought watching the end that maybe I'd have a chance with Luka (if he were real :scratchin )as he seems to go for the smaller lady. I'd always noticed that Sam was small but only noticed how tiny Abby was when they were chatting outside last night.

A girl can only dream pixiedust:

PS Jo (Wils) how did you do that 'invisible' thing it was really cool and a great idea for spoilers. :thumbsup2

Angela, I'll fight you for him, i saw him first! pirate:

02-24-2006, 02:31 PM
But are you as tiny ?? That seems to be his favoured measure. :rotfl2:

02-24-2006, 04:24 PM
Angela - Thanks! I just selected white as my font colour ie. by selecting the text and then chosing white from the 'color' menu :)

BTW Luca might prefer a larger lady for a change - I could 'turn' him :rotfl:

02-24-2006, 04:43 PM
Hey if anybodies gonna turn him its gonna be me!!! I would definately keep him warm on a cold night!!

02-24-2006, 05:02 PM
Well if there's do much competition for Luca - Can I have Carter instead ? :thumbsup2

02-24-2006, 05:07 PM
Angela,I am not tiny but perfectly formed, just his type even if he doesnt know it yet! he is not having much luck with tiny!!!!!!!you can have Carter, Luca is the best thing since george clooney!

02-24-2006, 05:29 PM
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK given this a hypothetical argument I'll give in. If it was for real we'd still be fighting !! :scared: :crazy2:
