I'll get us started. Ours will probably be "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. Personally, I knew the song before I knew who the guy was who sang it, I still don't know what other songs he sings, but I love this one!

Bless This Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Neither one of us is really into country music...but we heard this song and it really describes us!! I LOVE it!! We are having an intimate wedding so I dont think we will get to play any songs at the cake cutting reception..but this is "our song".

We used "When you say nothing at all" from the movie Notting Hill for our intimate. The only problem was that since there were only 11 of us we felt reeeeally stupid dancing but oh well. It was quite fun. And we have great pics of us trying to harrass everyone else into dancing with us. hehe

"Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera...
when he first saw my picture, DH thought I looked like Tamilyn Tomita in the Karate Kid II...LOL
yeah right, I don't look anything like her, but it's funny and we had to have that song!

You do get to request songs for your cake cutting. :) Other brides have been able to request a stereo if they were wanting to play a specific song from a CD.

:cool1: That is great to hear!!! We met on eharmony and as a "joke" we keep saying we want to play that song! If we were going to have a big reception we would play that song as they announce us...and then Play the Rascle Flatts song for our first dance!
Thats great news that we can pick some songs!! :thumbsup2

We never had a wedding song.
Neither did we. We didn't want to dance at our Intimate (I did get to dance with some friends the next night at PI while DH stood next to me :rotfl: ).
It's funny, we've been married 4 months now and if I bring this up we still can't agree on a song that's even "our song" so I don't know how we would have chose a wedding song!

I Love You - Climax Blues Band - 19 yrs ago.
My Best Friend found it and had it played last year at her wedding for DH and I - it was quite the moment as neither of us had heard it in what seemed like forever.

Our song is Michael Buble "You and I" When I was gone in the Army, he sent me the CD because he wanted me to hear "Home". When I got home, we fell in love with Michael Buble and thought "You and I" described us perfectly.

We actually met at an Edwim McCain concert in Downtown Disney 5 years (exactly!) before we got married. We were really trying to get him to do to songs at the reception, but it just didn't work out. We've both alwyas been huge Edwin McCain fans... we both kind of like people who sound different and have their own sound and style. "I'll Be" and "I Could Not Ask For More" are two of his worse songs in our opinion! We love them, don' tget me wrong, but there's somethign else to some of his other works!
We choose "True Colors"- Phil Collins version. The lyrics were too perfect for us. Pluse, it was an easy Rumba for the first dance!

Well..mine was a very hard decision because I love when you wish upon a star, but we wanted to save that for our final dance. I (we :lmao: ) chose I cross my heart by George Strait.
I had a disney themed wedding at home...I incorporated disney in many ways...here are a few.
When we did the cake cutting, we used Kiss the Girl from the little mermaid.
My family/bridal party all came into the Mickey Mouse March...we ended up coming into a football thing. I had wanted all MM March, but once he played me what he thought...I agreed we could come into that (I really liked it, but couldn't cut out MM) :hyper:

We are torn between Edwin McCain "I could not ask for more" or Kenny Chesney's "Me and You". We love both of these songs so much. Edwin McCain's song has been "our" song since we met, but we are big Kenny fans as well, so we have exactly 6 months from today to decide. :)

We knew what "our song" was as soon as we first heard it about 8 years ago. Our song has always been "I Could Not Ask For More" by Edwin McCain. It seems to be very popular among this crowd here! ;)
We go see Edwin's concerts whenever he plays in NYC (which, being a southern boy at heart, is not very often)...he plays a great concert and has some amazing albums...

You will pick songs for your groom processional, bride processional, recessional, and for the cake cutting reception.
If there is a song you want to dance to (as your first dance) you will do that after the cake cutting and Disney will play just about any song for you.

We used Etta James' version of "Embraceable You" for our first dance. For our last dance, we used "All I Want is You" by U2. We are both HUGE U2 fans, so had to fit them in there! This was nine years ago.

Mine was I Cross My Heart by George Strait, 9 years ago. It was a no brainer choice for us. I was working at the George Strait concert when I saw this total hottie attending the show. It was the one and only time I ever approached a guy; I gave him my business card, asked him to call me and married him 11 months to the day later!

Me and my DH2B's first dance will be Once Upon a Dream from Sleeping Beauty.
About a month before we met, we both prayed for someone nice to date. At Busch Gardens we went on two of the same rides in a row, and I talked to him on the second. Talk about everything being right for us meeting.

We are not going to do the dancing at our intimate wedding -- b/c we will be having an at home reception and doing the dancing then. BUT "our song" and the song we will be dancing our first dance to is WONDERFUL TONIGHT by Eric Clapton. We both love that song!!!

Oh! That is such a great song, by a really great group of guys!!
GREAT PICK!
My song for hubby is "The Gift" and his song for me is "Wind Beneath My Wings", and together we love to Dance to Kenny as he sings "LADY"!! Yeah baby!
I sang a song I wrote to my hubby at our wedding almost 22 years ago.
"All My Life"
All my life I've been dreamin
Of a love of my own.
Caring, sharing all my joys and laughter.
Taking time to know me
for what I really am.
Someone to love forever after.
Then there was you,
You finally came my way,
Fullfilling all my dreams,
I now can only say..
You are what I've been dreamin,
You're the love of my own.
We will share the good times and the sorrows.
In our lives there'll be trials,
so hard to bear,
But together we can face all our tomorow's
I made a wish,
It finally came true,
Where I once dreamed
Now there is you!!
Blessings and dreams come true for all!
