No, you can't reserve in advance. They are first come, first served. You can rent from an offsite vendor and have it delievered to the hotel if grandma needs it. March is spring break time and I would not leave it to chance and would rent from an offsite vendor.

Agreeing with TalkingHands.

You can't reserve them ahead of time at the parks, but the information regarding renting from one of the off-site medical equipment suppliers is in the disABILITIES FAQs thread. There are several places listed there that DIS posters have had good luck with.

if you do leave it to chance and go in the later part of the day, make sure to stress to the folks how long you will be staying in the park and ask for a half-charged ECV if you'll only be there a few hours or will be stationary for long periods of time (like waiting for a parade). While we had no trouble at most parks, the Magic Kingdom was TERRIBLE about ECV's at the end of the day, even though we were only going to be in the park for a couple of hours.
