Can anyone tell me how much they are and where do you buy them? And are they in effect from the day you buy them or are they in effect from the first day you use them? What kind of discounts do you get with them as well?
Can anyone help please :teeth: Thank you!!

I believe you buy the AP and your year starts on the first day you activate it, but you shouldn't do that until your first day in the parks. You also get discount on on-property stays, but I don't think the dates are preannounced so not like you can plan a particular date too far in advance. I am sure a DIS expert will be along to advise you...they will know the time frame on the AP discounts. Also some perks for dinning, shopping discounts. We are looking to AP as well. Happy research!

If you purchase your AP in advance of your trip, you get a voucher that will be activated when you first go into the park. What's nice about the WDW website is you can access the passholder area even if you only have a voucher. So it will allow you to see what discounts are available for tours, rooms, restaurants, etc.

APs are currently $415. They You can buy them online at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/tickets/ticketsLandingPage?id=TicketsLandingPage. Click on Theme Park Annual Passes, unless you want Premium Annual Passes, which are $539. We aren't big on the water parks or Pleasure Island, so we just do the regular APs. They are good from the time you activate them. The first time you go to a park, you'll have to stop by a ticket booth at the front of the park and activate your AP. If you activate it on May 21, it will be good THROUGH May 21 of the next year. The passes are actually good for 366 days. We are staying for 8 days at a Disney hotel later this month, and saved almost $400. That alone almost paid for one of our APs. We have really enjoyed them. I also suggest taking advantage of the discount on the Disney Dining Experience. It would have saved us money if we had done it early in our first trip this year.
