New to the board. Wedding question

I am getting married at SeaBreeze Pointe September 2, 2006 and was wondering about the Disney photograhers. Do they only shoot the wedding or do they also attend the reception? I know it mentioned a photographer for 2 hours and the intimate wedding only last about 15-20 minutes??? Also, are most of you all having someone come to your room do do your hair and makeup? What hair vendors are you all using?

welcome!!! Here are a couple of sites for you to check out and you will find lots of recommendations on this board!!! If you are not getting replies, do a search or just scan some of the threads, right below your thread was one about hair/make up. Here is what I can tell you from my own research. Both Lisa, http://www.lisasmagicalweddings.com, and Anna from http://www.makeovermajic.com, both come highly recommended. I booked Lisa for our wedding in April of 2007 already!!! If you want to check out their sites and give one or both an email I am sure they will work with you. Also, check out http://www.disneyweddings.com for more information on their photography. I am sure they can extend their time for a fee and there are certainly people on here who can tell you from experience about their photography sessions with WDW photographers. I can personally vouch for Lisa from Lisasmagicalweddings. I loved her when she did my hair for our engagement pictures. She is going to do our wedding and the hair and makeup for the MK photo shoot.

Hi Tiffany! Welcome to the DIS!!!

You are going to LOVE Sea Breeze Point! That's where I was married too!!

Your Disney photographer will arrive about a half hour before your ceremony (pretty much the same time as your EM) and they will take a few shots before the ceremony of your groom and you (either together or separate, depending on if you want to see your groom before the wedding).

While the intimate ceremony itself only lasts about 20 minutes, the "after ceremony" stuff lasts another 30 minutes at least. So, they will photograph moments during your ceremony, the cake cutting, the champagne toast, the first dance...and any other images you might want. Figure they'll take anywhere from 50-80 pictures (and maybe more if there are specific images you want).

If you are having an "extra" reception later, I don't think the Disney Photographer will attend that, unless you pay for it.

Have you pre-purchased your proofs? I would strongly recommend that, it will save you some money later.

I chose not to have someone do my hair and make-up...my wedding was very casual and I wanted a very "natural" look...I wanted to look like I would any other day because that is who I am. Being all "gussied up" isn't who I am...so I did my own stuff. The other girls have given you some great info about that though!
