Has anyone used Hotel Discount.com to book reservations? If so, has anyone experienced any problems?
I have used Hotel Kingdom.com and have never had any problems. They require a small deposit only. My husband and I are going to be staying at the Caribe Royale and the Hotel Kingdom rate was higher than Hotel Discount.com. There was a difference of $35 per night.
Hotel Discount.com requires that you charge the full amount of the stay on your credit card upfront with them.
I would really appreciate any feedback if possible.
Thanks!!!!

Bumping up with hopes of an answer. :bounce:
I have used Hoteldiscounts.com w/o any problems. I don't like paying so much up front so unless the difference is substantial I don't use them. It also looks as though if you cancel is where the problems might come.

I have also used Hoteldiscounts.com with no problem. Several posters have used hotelkingdom and have good reviews. Do a search and you'll find some of them.
My only concern with Hoteldiscounts.com is that your reservation does not show up till the last two days before you check in. I got nervous about that when I called the hotel I booked and they had no clue who I was! I had no problem at check in though but it can make you nervous...

This is a dumb question but "why" doesn't your reservation show up until two days before check-in. Are they waiting to make the reservation or something? It seems to be a rather odd way of doing business.

Robinrs,
I did book with hoteldiscounts.com. But I am still a little nervous like you. I don't quite understand why they have to wait 2 days before you check in until they put the reservation in your name, when you have paid them upfront for the room.
I did some checking on them and they seem like a reputable and stable company. Just hope everything turns out the same for me as it did for you.

Didn't I read on a post a while ago that Hotelkingdom.com will match any other web price and pay you $5 if you found it cheaper. I seem to remember someone posting something about emailing Hotelkingdom.com with the website where she found the cheaper rate and they honored it.
Also paid her the $5. I could be wrong but it might be worth checking out the website and see if they do this. Does anyone else remember this?

I ended up using Hoteldiscounts.com because I needed 12/26+27, and HRH/Universal/Loews all had a four night minimum over the holidays. I was lucky enough to get a HRH room for $168/night (including all taxes/fees), which I feel is very reasonable for the holiday season. I'm a little nervous about getting bumped, but that wouldn't be hoteldiscounts fault.
