Will the iPod Nano 4 Gb works with Apple Camera Connector or Belkin Media Reader?

The info on their respective websites are vague.

Apple Camera Connector: will work with all iPod with color screen
Belkin Media Reader: will work with all iPod with Dock Connector.

Does iPod Nano 4Gb is considered to be an iPod with "Color Screen" and/or "Dock Connector"?

I'm confused. Please help.

I know the belkin camera downloader does not even work with the Ipod mini. They were made long before the Nano came out.

Thanks for the info pjpoohbear, but the Belkin device in question is a media reader. So it looks like a regular CF card reader but you connect it directly to the dock connector of your iPod.

When I checked into this a few years ago, the Belkin would ONLY work with the IPOD. I believe the IPOD (not the Nano) is the only one that can be used as a hard drive. Bascially all the reader does is transfer the info on your card to the hard drive on the IPOD. (I don't have a video IPOD so I can't view them) I then connect the IPOD to the PC and copy the files over.

The Belkin reader is "touchy" Mine died recently and I don't think I will replace it. Memory has just gotten too cheap.

I did some reading over the boards over on www.ipodlounge.com to get some info that helped me. You might go poke around.

Yeah, I posted the same question there too. No answer so far.
Not that I want to exchange Nano for my CF, but I happen to have a Nano and it'll be great if I can use it as an extra just-in-case-of-emergency extra storage.

I don't believe the Belkin media reader will work with the Nano, BUT even if it does, do.. not.. buy!

The absolute worst piece of electronics I've ever purchased. It only detected and copied maybe 50% of the time, and half of the time that it did work, not all of the images copied, or were flat out corrupt. And it was ungodly slow.

As for the digital camera adapter made by Apple, no dice with your Nano. It will only work on "color screen iPod's" (aka "Classic" iPod Photo's that came out shortly after the 4th Gen iPod) or the new 5th Gen iPod Video.

Thank you for the info.

I'll just keep my Nano for my listening pleasure.

Don't use it. I tried it and it didn't work.
