HEY ALL: I purchased from PASSPORTER.COM (after reading all about it on these DISBoards) their ID strap!! They are AWESOME! I put my "key to the world" in one slot and my "photopass" in another slot and actually still had slots for misc money (if you wanted). We put money on the "key to the world" so we did NOT need wallets at all. DH & I put all valuables in the safe at AKL and wore the strap around our necks 24/7! SO EASY. Funny story, arrived AKL and went straight to the parks with all excitement. INSTEAD of using the strap (still in suitcase) threw my "key to the world" in my wallet with all my other credit cards...dh & i raced over to SOARIN' and FIRST TIME attempting to use the "key to the world" (after going through EPCOT's turnstiles) the KEY DID NOT WORK(we needed to get Fastpasses)....what's up I said to CM at SOARIN' and she informs me that I have ALREADY de-magnitized my "key to the world"....where was my strap dh says....in my suitcase....back to AKL to get another "key to the world" (pain) BUT I learned and used the strap the rest of the entire TRIP.
It really is so easy....all your pertinent cards around your neck. :cool1:

P.S. YOU CANNOT PUT YOUR KEY TO THE WORLD NEAR ANY OTHER CREDIT CARDS IN YOUR WALLET, IT WILL DEMAGNETIZE SO QUICKLY (which is exactly what I did)! So the passporter ID strap is great. Everything can be in their own little slot on the ID strap.
just remember to use it and not leave it in your suitcase NO MATTER how excited you are to get to the PARKS....hahaha!!! :rotfl:

I found out the hard way that your "key" can demagnetize! I did it twice before someone clued me in to what was happening!

We always keep them in one of our wallets in our back pack.

I got a little pouch thing that goes around your neck. It is clear with a ziploc type pouch and a little pocket. We used the pouch for our tickets and the pouch for our fastpasses. Since its clear it was easy to check times on our fast passes. Got it at Walmart for around $1 or $2. The strap for it has a velcro closure.

Lanyards are perfect. I just picked up a Pirates of the Carribean one in Claires in the mall for $4.50.

We used a lanyard and a plastic ID holder we got in Disney. It worked for us.

My DH carried all of our passes in a leather pouch on his belt. He was happy to do it. Id like to hear what other people do.

I bought my lanyard from the nearby college. It has a detachable belt clip at the bottom, and on that is a cc size fake leather holder that opens up and on one side has a see through pocket (for ID or whatever) and on the other side is a zippered pocket (for money). What I like about it is that the holder can clip off for rides and easily go into my back pocket when on a rough ride (my fear of loosing it is too great to leave it around my neck on BTMR!) It works great for pins, shows off my alumni colors and I even use it when I fly so I don't have to dig out my drivers license from my purse every 10 feet.
Back pocket in my mickey wallet which is very small but the price was right nickle at a yard sale. I love it just the right size for disney. I travel very light in the parks usually not got nothin but my park card which is also my room key and credit card rarely do I carry anymore than 10.00 case on me. No pics no ID less is more at disney.

Y'all have managed to confuse me big time. (Easy to do I 'spect.) What is a "Key to the World?" Is it somehow different than an annual pass in this regard? In the past I have used my annual pass in the FASTPASS machines with no problem whatsoever. I keep my annual pass in my billfold, along with my room key/card, credit cards, etc.
Can I expect a future problem because of keeping my annual pass in my billfold?
Thanks.

I always carry my AP and my room key in my wallet. Never had a problem with the mag stripe on them or my credit cards. Although I've seen people wearing lanyards with their passes, they are very few and far between. Once you're in the park, there are only a couple of reasons to need your pass (perhaps to get a fastpass) or your room key (for room charge purposes) and I don't have a problem fishing them out when I need them.

We keep our room key and AP tickets in plastic cardit card holders in our fanny pack. The credit card holders were bought at Claire's for about $1.
For Fast Passes - they get placed in a pocket somewhere - depending on the FP ride - will depend on who holds them. Buzz is DS, Pooh is DD, Splash MT is DH, ........

A Key to the World card is the official name of a WDW resort room key. It's called KTTW because it can optionally have park passes and room charging priviledges coded on it.
I keep my pass and room key in a lanyard (97 cents from WalMart):

Can I ask where in Wallyworld did you find that lanyard? I have been looking everywhere for one and have yet to find one!

Vicki, it seems like you're all set, but I figured i'd throw in my 2 cents! :)
I have always kept my key/pass and my photopass together in a back pocket of a small backpack (which I absolutely LOVE...this thing is small enuf to not be a bother but it holds everything I need to bring to the parks!). This year I tried a lanyard, but after the first day, I realized that I absolutely hate the feeling of it around my neck! go figure..... So I went back to the backpack pocket (and I'll admit sometimes I just put them in a pocket of my jeans/shorts!) and I was happy.
and it seems like you're ready to try both approaches so you will be all set.

Go to the jewelry department and look on the rack with wallets and wallet accessories, like picture windows and such. They come in both horizontal and vertical orientation.

I use the same lanyard that WillCAD recommends. It works great and isn't heavy around my neck at all like some wider lanyards I've had. I love having it handy to get tickets, etc. out of instead of having to get them out of my backpack. I've been using this lanyard for my past 3 trips...best 97-cents I've ever spent. :thumbsup2

We went to Office Depot/Office Max and bought clear name badge sleeves and lanyards and they worked great. It's perfect for your room key, your tickets and fast passes. Never once had to fumble through my pants to find it -- although every morning i had to ask the family "everyone got your lanyard" before we got to the park without one.
I'm finding mine from the last trip for our April trip.

I used a butt pack, but I kept in front. I put the keys and photopasses in the little pocket in the front and then my wallet with other credit cards/money in the big pocket. Worked great for us. I also held all the keys/passes, it made it easier when getting fastpasses.

I use a fanny pack with three pockets- 1 large one in middle, one small in back (against my stomach) and one small in front. I put important stuff like larger bills etc in small back pocket against my tummy, and put any tickets, singles, etc that I need easy access to by themselves in the small front pocket. have never had a problem.

I actually toted mine around in my jeans pocket w/ my drivers licence, it was much easier to reach when necessary and I didn't have to fight with getting it out of the lanyard I took or the lanyard getting in the way. I did have a small bag with me also that was just too much of a hassle too.

I bought my lanyard at the gift shop at the park with new pins. There is a great pouch to keep all of my tickets, fastpasses, and ids, etc. Only a few $$ and so worth the convenience.
Have fun!
I have to go against the flow here. I don't like to wear things around my neck, especially when it's hot. I found a small "pouch" to wear that worked just great (got it in the gift shop at my local zoo). It was a canvas coin pouch, about 4" x 4", which either clips onto a belt loop or threads through your belt. Was the perfect size for my admission pass, some money, lip gloss. Even though I also often wore a fanny pack or small backpack, in addition to the coin pouch, I kept my "essentials" in this coin pouch. It was so nice not to have to dig through a backpack or fanny pack for the stuff you have to use all the time.

We used fanny packs so we could have 10 dollars cash or so for the few stands that didn't accept the cards. Plus we each kept a small first aid kit of band aids, moleskin, sun lotion, antiseptic wipe and tissue.
