Anybody stay there recently with any current opinions? Is it to far of a walk for a little boy? Even though there is a shuttle stop in front of the motel, I am afraid that it will always be full and therefore, out of frustration, we'll be walking.....anyone? :confused3

Check out Tripadvisor.com. I'm not too good at pasting links. It's a good way to get a general idea.

Not a dump nice room , we had the one with bunkbeds . Good value for the money , clean not too loud..........too far to walk for sure. My only complaint is not a great breakfast ......they seem to run out of foood and we went in the off season ! I would stay there again , also the front desk help was very nice !

I have a couple of pics in the link below. I think this property looks really simple from the outside, but for the value I really liked the rooms. The ART shuttle stops right in front for a ride to the parks entrances.

As a previous poster mentioned, check tripadvisor.com and mouseplanet.com for reviews. It's walkable, but probably comparable to 3/4 of a mile at least, so I wouldn't recommend it with your young son, especially after a long day in the parks. Have you looked into the Best Western Park Place Inn right across the street from the park entrance? There's also the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites across from the entrance which is clean and basic and a very good value. Carousel Inn and Suites would also work for you.
Here's a map that will help you see the distances:

Hope this helps!

My parents stayed there last year when they visited DL. They had no complaints about the hotel itself but wished they were closer so that they didn't have to use the ART.
