We are going to Disney in 12 days and I want to get autograph books for my 3 children. Can I get these anyway on disney property or do I need to bring some from home? Can't wait for our 1st trip. My kids don't even know. They think we are going to NYC so this is going to be really fun when they find out.

If you're staying onsite you can pick them up at your resort's gift shop. Otherwise, I believe that they are sold at the gift shops in the front of each park. Don't forget to get a "fat" pen. The costumed character have a hard time using a regular sized pen. I hope you and your family have a great time! :thumbsup2

Also- make sure to get one before youdo a character meal, if you do one, because they don't sell them at the restaurants.... I would LOVE to see the looks on you kids' faces when they figure out what's going on!!! How fun!

Thanks so much. We are going to do two character meals so I will be sure to have them before we go. I can't wait to see the kids faces either. My DD -7 is usually really on top of things and always figures things out. I totally have pulled one over on her this time which is all the more fun. She has even heard me on the phone making reservations at Chef Mickey's and she didn't even ask.

I have a tip regarding the autograph books and photos. We went this past fall and my children picked out the golden autograph books (celebrating Disney's 5oth). These books come with plastic inserts for photographs and a golden gel pen. If you purchase this particular book make sure you take some of your photos hortizontally and not vertically. The photo pockets are horizontal and I did not even notice that until we were home. I am sad to say that most of my character pictures were taken vertically so they do not fit. :( . My second tip on this particular book is to bring a fat black or blue pen. The gold pen that comes with the book doesn't really show up to well.
I know you are your family will have a blast. Say hi to Mickey for me! :)

I thought I was being smart and got the more expensive golden book too. I did remember to take pics horizontal but that darn pen! We bought it right before dinner at chef mickeys and you couldn't see the autographs. We had to buy another set of fat BLACK pens for the rest of the trip. At least we figured it out early! :thumbsup2
