I have not been able to get search to work so I have been reading through old posts and came across a lot of info! One this I was a little surprised to see was some posts back in June and July anout limited FOTL. They were saying sometimes they don't let you use them all day when the parks are busy!? Do they still do that. We plan to be there the last week in March M-TH. Do I need to worry about that? I also saw a lot of people complaining about the locker system and not being able to take your stuff with you. They were saying you have to wait in line to use the lockers, how long of a wait is that during busy times? I was Really surprised, the other places I have been just had a place to throw your bag when you got on and then grab it when you get off, they don't have that at US/IOA - You have to use the locker that you have to stand in another line to get to?? Really??

I've been wondering about the unlimited FOTL as well now that the free express passes are history (stupid UO S.O.B.'s). they were tinkering around last year with the onsite FOTL's, limiting you to one trip through the line and swiping your pass before 3:00. now with removal of the free express passes (stupid UO S.O.B.'s), we'll see if it goes back to being unlimited trips through the lines. there are required lockers on ROTM, Hulk, MIB, and DD for items. they are free for the first hour. the lines are a result of people who don't know how to properly use them. they require 2 simple finger scans to rent, and 1 more to open the locker.

last july and first part of august the fotl was limited on shrek and mummy.

but not on all days, only the high crowd days.

what happened was you could use the fotl after 3 for those rides.

many complained and the restriction was lifted.

if that would happen again, complain..............

last year was the only year i am aware of the limitations of fotl due to the crowd level.

So they no longer let the general public get the express passes where you use your ticket & can get 1 at a time free?!?! Man that's :crazy2: We are planning on coming for fall break which happens to be during Columbus Day week & are staying in a condo offsite. I was planning on making use of Express Pass.

nope. unfortunately, UO has gone the route of making you pay for them, or stay onsite. it's a sad, sad decision.

They swiped our room keys on many rides also, but that didn't mean that they were limiting riding time. On some rides they just swipe the room key.

Bitter? :badpc: LOL :rotfl2:

I heard people remarking on the "fastpass" thing while in line the other day and during the conversation I heard a woman say "NO...they make you PAY for it here"

Bad form!

bitter, yes. with good reason, yes. a quality theme park like UO shouldn't offer a feature like express pass for years and then take it away. especially to try to make a few extra dollars. it's the one negative thing I've ever thought about UO. if they weren't in a position to offer it, they shouldn't have in the first place. they should have fixed the system. the people that cried about it inflating standby lines were dead wrong. the standby lines are worse now.

I couldn't agree more! It really just makes them look bad. I liked the idea of them selling Express passes when they first did (back when they were free, but limited), I thought that was a nice option...but to ONLY offer them for a price seems wrong. With two parks and only 3 hotels, it seems like they should be able to offer them for free to park guests...I mean, I know Disney doesn't offer FastPass for resort guests specifically (that would be crazy!), but with 4 parks and the vast number of guests...they have managed to make it work.

Trial and error, hopefully they will realize it's just wrong...

How long has it been this way though?

UO might as well get in line with the mouse. the resort rates are up. and if you don't want to stay onsite, a 1 day 2 park EPP is $50.00 per person for peak times. an astute person can pay $60.00 and walk into a WDW park and utilize FP's to get them around.

the mouse raised whatever they could also.
i am staying there before i hit universal.

going in value season and still higher than what it was last year for the same time period. and that is at a value resort. there tickets really increased.
for what i am paying for tickets , i could have bought an ap with it some years back !!

the ME transporatation will start a few.
when i made my ressie with the resort, i was told the ME will be charging come this november. can anyone say $$$$

and the disney fast pass won't be free for all in the future.
from what i have read, its days will have an ending too, just like universal.

LOL on the "astute person" remark...It brings to mind the countless times I have used fastpass at Disney that was available for ride access WAY before the stated stand-by wait time...and also the many times I sailed through the fastpass line and heard people grumbling and felt their glare...thinking..."it's FREE, guys...YOU can do it too!" pixiedust:

WDW and DL account for 40 million visitors each year. they still can't keep their PS's or resort reservations straight. good luck to them if they try a pay for FP system. what UO has done with the EP's sickens me. you don't give the public a benefit and then take it away. it's just wrong.
