Hi all, this will be my first post here although I have been reading for a month or two. My question is about the 7 day park hopper pass. In 1999 my DH and I were able to purchase these passes from the Disney Store at a discount specifically for Canadians which was buy one and get the second half price. These were purchased in September or October and were valid until April 2000 not including the xmas holidays. Does anyone know if this discount is available from anywhere this year? We are going to WDW Dec. 11-19 2001. Thanks in advance for any info!

starshine73, welcome to the DIS boards!! I checked at TDS last week about ticket deals/discounts and they did not yet have any info but said to keep checking so hopefully they will be announced soon. I believe in the past few years that the discount tickets did not take effect until after new years.

Welcome to the DIS, Starshine73. As soon as someone finds out what this year's "deal" (if any) is, I know we'll have a post on the Canadian board.

We went to WDW at the same time - Fall 1999 and got discount tickets then. (buy one get one at half price). But since then all of the discounts have been for the beginning of the year until the spring. I asked again this year and they thought that would be happening again this year - starting in Jan 2002 till maybe end of April.
What we did do this year was buy one Annual Pass for my husband to get great rates on the Disney resorts - though it costs more we saved much more on our resort. So we now have to buy one 7 day hopper for me and one child 7 day for my daughter. Now the discount won't help us anyway since we only need one adult and one child and I don't think you can mix discounts between types of passes.

Thanks for all the input. We have already saved a lot due to a Mousesavers code that got us a $49 rate as the AS Music, I also got a pretty good flight deal on Expedia. I have pretty much accepted the fact that I may have to pay full price for the park hoppers, but I will just tell myself that I am spending extra money I would've spent on the resort. I think I will wait until the last minute anyway and keep looking for deals, I guess you never know what may happen. Only 66 days to go!!
