View Full Version : Who's Checking the 15 Day Weather Forecast??

This is always a benchmark for me. I don't for a minute accept weather predictions beyond the day after tomorrow, but for Orlando, at this time of year, the weather folks can usually see an extreme cold or warm front coming the better part of a week in advance, so this site will get a daily visit from me:

Anyone else eyeing the weather yet?

Wow! Thanks Bill. I have been going to weather.com and they only give you 10 days in advance. I'm excited, I will be arriving 2/26 and it is showing nice weather. I'll keep my fingers crossed it doesnt change. :sunny:

I have been watching it for a few days now. Like you I don't put a whole lot of faith in the predictions this far out but it is still fun to look. By this point in time, all the trip details are done and it is a bit early to finalize the packing so watching the weather predictions gives me something to do. Pretty sad, huh??? :rotfl:

We'll be arriving Thursday night, doing Disney Fri. & Sat., then the Daytona 500 on Sunday. It's looking a little chilly in the mornings, then warming up in the afternoons. Sounds like jeans and a light jacket with short sleeve shirts underneath. Still tough to tell. As long as the rain stays away on Sunday. I wish Orlando had a Weatherman similar to Bob Breck like we do over here in Louisiana. Bob is the man!

Just looked on the weather site earlier and can't believe the great weather they're predicting. Just hope it stays that way. We arrive Thursday 23rd and on the Friday 24th they say it will be 81deg!!! Predicted to be in mid 70s all the following week too. As we're around 50deg here at the moment that is just fantastic.

Awesome! It will be me and 4 friends. We're all 20 and we each have a different color of the spakly Mickey Mouse ear headbands, maybe I'll see you!

We have been in disney for almost 4 days and it has been very cold. We had pants and sweatshirts on. At night we even had coats on. We are staying at Old Key West and there was frost on the golf course this morning. No golfers out this morning. It is suppose to be nicer tomorrow and warming up even more by the end of the week.

Have a Magical Valentine's Day, We did at WDW.

Gee Whiz Bill, I'm eyeing the 5 day "nectar" I mean weather!! Iíve been getting ready for the hot, well I guess ďwarmĒ, sun and iced beverages. If I drink another Michelob Ultra I think I'll barf! I think I would rather drink swill. I am just about at my cruising weight and ready for some about face libation. The wife and kids leave on Tuesday and I will join them on Thursday. Gee, what to do on the plane all by myself! :smooth: Do they still have those little bottles on Jet Blue?

Sounds like there will be at few at R&C on March 3. Canít wait. :drinking1 (I just love that picture)

Tim,

How did that last snow storm treat you? I noticed that the flight we're taking out of PHL got cancelled on Sun. due to snow and for the next 2 days it was late taking off because of the backlog. At this point, I'm as much concerned with the weather here as there. We 'discovered' Labatts on our last trip down and since then the Labatts Blue Light has been my everyday brew. Not bad. Our party is split this time also, with us arriving the morning of the 2nd and our daughter, SIL and grandkids on the 5th. I've got a few more DISers to PM about the date, one couple lives right down I-81 from us and they own a bar/restaurant but we haven't met yet. Have a nice, mellow flight.

We fly in a week and I looked on Accuweather a few days ago and they were forecasting temperatures in the upper 70's to early 80's for our first week. Now...apparently it will be low 60's and a few days of rain!!! I want that first forecast back!

Bill:

No snow at all during that storm!!! We are about 10 miles from the Canadian Border. We have about an inch of light covering from a couple of snow showers. Weather is supposed to be ok for the flights out of Burlington. I usually have a few LBLís when I visit Montreal as I am not a connoisseur of Canadian Beer. Microbrew is the favorite here and I donít mean Sam Adams like many think is a microbrew.

granmaz: - Donít sweat it, the weather forecast will change in the next couple of days. Sometimes I think these guys would have a better time predicting when Iím going to win the lottery rather than predict the forecast.

Nevertheless - I would be satisfied with temps in the 60's! Heat wave!!! :sunny:

I with you all on the 15 day watch and I don't like the turn it took today either! But I'm not giving up on my warm weather dream yet. I don't think they are too accurate 10-15 days out. [

Until now I've only had a 10 day forcast on weather.com, thanks for the 15 day site Bill. I was just talking to my cousin and he said "Joe Snedeker" told that starting around March 5th the entire east coast will experience "warmer than usual/ above average" temps, including FL. ! No snow in next weeks forcast either. Could this be true ??? :confused3 Guess we'll be finding out soon :cool1:

What T.V or other source offers the most reliable weather in the Orlando area. Our last trip we listened to the news and they were really off most days. A passing shower turned into a 2 day rain event.

We are going March 6 to 13 and will be staying with our two young kids at the PO French Quarter!!!

I was so excited that our first day showed up on the 10 day weather forecast. Now, I'm going to check AccuWeather.

We need to pick something to wear to keep track of the kids!

Thanks for the accuweather info. We leave soon and I was a bit concerned about what cloths to pack and how to spend our day if it rains.
