We are taking a connecting flight in Chicago after a flight out of a smaller airport. Will we still be able to get boarding passes right through to MCO or will we have to check in again and have our carryon checked over?

no its still the same as before. when you get checking in for your flight you get checked in all the way thru. they will give you bp's for both flights. why would they make you go all the way back to security to recheck your carry on when it was already checked and you are just connecting in that airport?

Sorry if it was a dumb question, but we only fly once a year and with all the changes wasn't sure.

Don't leave the secure area (by the gates) or you'll have to wait in line again to go through the metal detector and have your carry ons X-rayed.

yooperfan-
no questions are dumb!! I am assuming you are flying from Milwaukee to Chicago ORD to Orlando. Is that correct? If you are on United, the smaller commuter flights Air Wisconsin or Great Lakes come into the F concourse. United flights usually leave from B or C concourse, occasionally the F concourse. So you would have to change concourses. When you exit the concourse to connect, make sure you do not go into the main terminal area. If you do, you will have to clear security. You can get to your connecting gate w/o clearing security-just follow signs, or ask!!:D

Thanks again, I'm as good with airports as I am with computers. If it wasn't for this site I'd never touch the darn thing. Just point and click, is all my DH says.
