We were in Innoventions West on Thursday (2/9) and saw a CM showing 2 other CM's plans for an indoor Segway course in the area where they currently have video games.

He had plans in his hand and we overheard bits and pieces of his description. Apparently, the "Where's the Fire?" exhibit along with the fire truck will stay; however, all of the video games will go.

I found it interesting that the CM also explained that the existing lighting would be used because there was "no money in the budget" to replace it.

I for one am glad to hear they are planning an indoor course. Anyone who has taken the "Segway Around The World" class knows that it is very cramped in the current classroom. A new and larger course would make it easier and faster to teach everyone the basic skills needed to operate the Segway and quickly get outside where everyone can have much more fun.

This is a good thing!

Do you think this will be a seperate tour.... or used as practice for the World showcase tour.... or maybe just a private exhibit that allows guests to use a segway for just a few minutes

How much do the segway classes cost and are they offered throughout the day?

At Disneyland in CA they have an indoor course in Innovations for free. It isn't very long, but it was fun to give it a try! Had to sign a waiver and be a certain age (don't remember what it was).

This was a couple of years ago, so I don't know if they still have this, but maybe that is what they are going to do.
