Has anyone ever flown on X-mas day in the early evening? (arriving in Orlando around 8PM)? How did it go? Are the airports busy? Do you think it is safe to fly on this day?

Thanks!

Easy, Easy, Easy!!! Airports are not that crowded, there are less flights and people are happier- that Xmas spirit! Do it!

We're flying out on Christmas Day 12/25 in the early morning (6:15am flight). I hope that it is safe and that the airports are NOT understaffed! My biggest concern is safety at this point. We are also flying back on January 1, 2002 on a late flight (9:15pm). I'm hoping, again, that safetly is the #1 priority at the airports.

in the two times i've flown on christmas, the airports are pretty uncrowded. :)

... remember that many airport vendors are not open on Christmas, so if you get a weather delay, you could get very hungry. We once had a 5 hour weather delay on Christmas day, but
the airport was all but deserted in terms of services.
