It's the little bar connected to Confisco's. They make a frozen drink call "Confisco's creation", mmmmm.:D

I wonder if MIB999999 can confirm or deny this. I'm thinking that you can get the same liquor at the Enchanted Oak Tavern, but since liquor can make big bucks, the Backwater Bar may still be open.

Don't know about the Backwater Bar, but I can report that the Hard Yak Cafe in Lhasa, Tibet, is still going strong.:)

Yep, that's where I am now (in Lhasa, not in the bar). An amazing place. It's one of the few places on earth where you really feel you've been transported somewhere truly magical (IOA is another place like that, of course.)

Aloha Kelly,

Your books have so influenced my vacation choices. Because of you we went to SeaWorld on our last visit and also Ohai and Barry have you to thank for our escapade at Gatorland!:bounce:

So please don't write about Tibet, it is the wrong direction! I want to go back to Orlando. And although a recent root canal and house painting ate up my vacation fund, I still have hope that someday relatively soon I can get back... ;)

nhrenee, the backwater Bar is open and doing well, the other side of Confisco's, Croissont Moon Bakery is also open. Only Confisco's has shut it doors for the time being.

Now tell me about this drink, i may have to give it a try 10/6 after my MIB training session:smooth:

A "Confisco's Creation (or concoction, can't remember which) is a bit like a frozen strawberry daquiri with coconut flavour too.:p

I sure hopeConfiscos gets back open by the time I'm there in November.

Molokai Garm: Lhasa is da bomb! It's one of the few places you can go these days that makews you feel like you've really traveled somewhere different.

Actually, I'm toying with the idea of putting together a group trip for next year. Not a "tour" exactly, but a deal where a bunch of like minded people could make the trip at a reasonable cost. Part of the reason for this trip is to scope out ways of traveling independently in China and Tibet, which is only now becoming really possible. Wanna come?
