Nosh Around the World 2006 - 10/16/06

Last year's event was such a fun time, Kevin & I will sponsor "Nosh Around the World 2006" during the Food & Wine Festival

Date - Monday 10/16/06

Time - 11am till 2pm

Location - We'll meet at the entrance to the World Showcase. (I'll post a map when we get closer.)

Commemorative T-Shirts for everyone that attends, just like last year.

Hi, Mister Disney! I enjoyed hanging out with you for a few hours last October at the NATW! I really enjoy the F&W Festival, but this year I'll be at WDW the week after Thanksgiving instead. Have a great time!

Welcome back Mister Disney :goodvibes I really enjoyed our "Nosh around the World" last year. Just read your other thread explaining your absence around here...wow...glad it all worked out and you have a wonderful new place to call home :woohoo:
I just happen to be arriving at wdw on Oct15...and would love to join you again on Oct16 for Nosh around the World 2006!
Unfortunately I was probably the only one who didn't take pictures last year so can't help you there, however, just bought myself my 1st digital camera so hopefully by Oct I will have figured out how to use it :rolleyes:

I will certainly be at Disney on Oct 16th - as I know nothing at all about it, would you mind explaining a little more about what 'nosh around the world' consists of. It sounds fun and would love to join in but is it mainly an adult thing (would have 2 teenage daughters with me)

This is definitely NOT an "Adult Only" thing. Everyone is welcome from young to old!

"Nosh Around the World" is an opportunity for DISers that enjoy food to get together and meet.

What we'll be doing is meeting at 11am and partaking in the F&W Festival food carts spaced out all around the World Showcase at Epcot. We plan to finish up by 2pm. (Last year we made it ALMOST all the way around, I think if I recall, we only missed a couple of countries.)

Last October was a wonderful time of noshing and socializing with about 12 DISers coming together.

Awww, I am so sad we will miss this by a few days....we're there from Oct. 8-13 to celebrate my 30th birthday! Have fun!!

Mister Disney....I have enjoyed your posts so much and would love the opportunity to meet you and Kevin. We are going to be at the BWV for 7 nights.....just the two of us. We have been often in the past couple of years, but always with family or friends and usually end up being unofficial tour guides. That's not a problem, we love sharing, but we have so much more freedom to do whatever we want this time. We are so excited to be there at one of our favorite times of the year.

Nosh Around the World Part 2 is DEFINITELY HAPPENING on Monday October 16th..

The K-man and I are arriving on Thursday 10/12 and departing on Tuesday 10/17.

Due to Val's new position at work, looks like we will not be able to make our December trip...and have opted to try out the Food & Wine instead!!!

I only need to find some decent flight fares and we'll be there in mid October. Don't order them t-shirts just yet, but looks like you may have two more mateys aboard! pirate:

Is that the Party for the Senses? Hmmm...hadn't considered that. My sister and brother-in-law and their 2 grandsons will be at WDW then - so I'll probably be wherever they are on our last night. But I'll definitely look into the PftS!

Hi Mister Disney..... I tremendously enjoyed the dining reviews you and Kevin have put together and would love to meet you guys for the "2006 Nosh Around the World". This will be the first time we're visiting during F & W.....for this trip it's my hubby (Bill), myself (Donna) and our good friends, Colleen and Jerry. The four of us are leaving all of our adult children home (much to their dismay!!!) As a matter of fact, Coll and Jerry haven't been to World since their daughter was 5 (she's now a 21 yr old junior in college) so they've got a LOT of catching up to do!!! My hubby and I usually visit at least twice a year (once alone and once with our kids and grandson). Anyway, look for us on 10/16 (we're there 10/14 thru 10/20).....you can't miss us Coll and I are both under 5' and just a LITTLE chubby and both of our hubby's are 6' plus (Jerry and Coll are both redheads, too, so we're easy to pick out). Kevin & I have been offline and off the computer for many months and I must appologize for this.

Life in our new home has become more involved and more expensive than we ever thought.

It was with much regret that last week we had to cancel our trip that was supposed to come up in 2 weeks.

As a result, I am so sorry to say that we will not be able to host Nosh Around the World this year.

We are definitely going Easter Weekend 2007. Kevin is determined to work as much OT as possible at work in order to make this happen.

I am sorry and disappointed that we won't be able to "Nosh" this year.

I'm so sorry that your circumstances have ruined your vacation. I'm glad you are right onto planning for the next one. I wish you both the best and hope that someday our paths will cross and I will get to meet you.
