texas de brazil how is it?

but i have seen texas de brazil resturant on a few
message boards. how are the prices are they that pricey?
what kind of food is it, is it like a bar-b-que style?

I have never been to Texas de Brazil, but I have been to a different Churrascaria. The one I went to was a set price ($25). There was a pretty large "salad bar" which you could load up on. At your table, the server brings different kinds of meat on skewers and will server you pieces from it. Obviously it differs from place to place, but I would expect a few different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and possible chicken or turkey.

I was pretty impressed with it, so I want to try one closer to me, which would be Texas de Brazil.

It is a really good resturant, there is a lot of meat served on skewers, if it is not cooked the way you like it they will takew some away and cook it more. The service is top notch and ther eis also a very large salad bar

it's good, but it is definately not inexpensive. when we ate there it was about $40.00 per person before drinks. considering the quality of the food, it's not a bad deal, but arrive HUNGRY.

As above the price is not cheap but the food was excellent. Don't go crazy with the salad bar or you'll regret it. Once you turn your card to green the flow of various meats never stops until you go back to red. As one of our party said "How can you go wrong with a place that asks 'Another filet minion?'" Highly recommended for those who are hungry enough to eat like a bear.

Here in the Dallas area Texas De Brazil is about $35-$40 a person. They always have a beautiful salad bar (that they want you to fill up on). Usually they have 12-15 different meats ranging from chicken to veal and filet. There are a few tricks you need to know before you go eat at a Brazilian Steak House. First, don't load up on the salad bar and side items. You can ask for the meat to begin at your table at any time. Feel free to ask your waiter what meats they are serving tonight. If you do not ask for a certain meat, they will bring them in a specific order (usually the cheapest cut first and so on). Hoping you'll fill up on the cheaper cuts first. But, you can always ask them to bring you any meat you are looking for like veal or lamb or filet. Just skip the chicken if you want. You don't have to eat things in their order.

Try a special brazilian drink, the lime one. Oh they are sooo good.

We never went, but there was one in Addison when we lived in the Dallas area. I heard good things, but also that they can be pricey. I think someone told me that things like the potatoes are extra.

last time we were there we signed up on the website for their email list and recieved coupons for our meal. I would wait until a couple of weeks before your trip to sign up because if I remember the coupons are only good for a few weeks, but they had some really good ones.

We ate at the Texas de Brazil on International Drive last Tuesday night.

It was AMAZING. The salad bar was outstanding... only to be outdone by the meats.

I don't know the cost, because my BIL was picking up the tab... his choice of restaurant. (We provide lodging for family/friends we bring along to DVC with us, typical "payment" for that lodging is one dinner out during the week... my BIL and SIL now have the prize for the best "guest meal" we've ever had)

Whatever it cost... if it was in the price range quoted in this thread, my wife and I agree that it was probably the best value for dollar meal we've ever had in our lives.

We immediately said that it was in our "Top 5" meals of all time. Two of the other top 5 were eating at Victoria & Albert's on our honeymoon with the wine pairing, and doing the Omakase at Morimoto restaurant in Philadelphia - with Iron Chef Morimoto doing the honors for our 10th anniversary. Both of those meals were in the range of $80 to $110 per person. If Texas de Brazil is only $40 to $50 per person, then I think it is a steal.

By far, the best steak I've had in my life was during this meal. The flank steak, filet mignon, and especially the garlic steak were all outstanding.

We've already decided that the next trip down to WDW WILL include Texas de Brazil... even if we are alone on that trip, we'll hire in-room baby sitting... even with that extra cost, I'd still consider it a bargain for the quality of the meal.
