I've been planin all weekend, I have lots to still do! But once we get there, who, here, can I roll up to and say "hello" to? If all goes well, we'll be in the 1600 loop.
I just thought with a board this big, SOMEONE here has to be camping the same time we are! march 10-17th :wizard:

Well, we just decided yesterday that since we are driving we would check to see if they had any spots available for tents and they did. So, it looks like we'll be there the 13th -17th. Maybe only 13th-15th, don't know if hubby can handle sleeping on a blow up mattress that long. LOL! We also have family in Orlando, so we have back up beds for free if we want them. We have never been to Fort Wildreness before, any suggestions or tips?
Our traveling party will be myself, Staci; DH- J.; DS (10) Jack; and DS(6) Nick.

We have never tent camped there, only a pop up. the shell pits are nice for a tent, meaning, their is an area that is crush sea shells, and it's very soft to walk on bare foot. thats where the tent goes. the rest is concrete, and asphalt.

I joined TGM two days ago, to compare it to the book. I should have the truck done by sunday, meaning all the service, and other preps that need to be made................

We'll be there the 3rd - 12th. me, dh, d gpa, ds5, ds 5 months! Can't wait! It's been a long time since my dad has been to Disney. I'm looking forward to showing him all the new additions. :thumbsup2 His last time to Disney was '92. We camped at Ft Wilderness when I was a little girl. I think part of the reason he decided to buy a camper was to go with the grandkids to the Fort. We have such great memories from my childhood. :)

I can't remember where the site number is at, but I suggest that we all put a lime green mickey, (paint chip card from home depot) right below your site number. that way we can stop by and say hi! :wave: (rented a golf cart) It's kindof tough to stop and say hello to DISfolks, in the park, when your on a (plan) this way, your on a site, and anybody can identify you with the mickey on the post! sound like a plan??? :woohoo:
The lime green mickey chip, from what I have found, it the universal signal to identify DISboard folks.
We usually end up cruisin the loops after dinner to look at other peoples camp sites.........

It is the first time just the 3 of us are going. Me, DH -32 and DS-12. We usually bring a cousin so that DS has someone his age to hang out with. I'm sure he would love to meet a DS or two to hang out with at the pool and such.

I will try to get to Home Depot to pick up a Mickey head!

Not sure what loop they will put us in. We just booked yesterday and all it said was a preferred site. (which we don't need because we are tenting) but it is what they had. Beggers can't be choosers!

We did get the dining plan for 6 days so that should be fun!

We will be there from the 22-26th. I am so excited. This will be our first time at FW. We have a cabin booked, DH, me, DS 15, DS 13, DD 7. The kids are the ones who have begged to do this since we went to the campfire one night many years ago. I remember the warm and family atmosphere. We got a great AP rate. Reserved a golf cart which should be a blast.

Well, the trailer is packed, and we have roughly 30 hours before we leave! We changed our plans around, and we are now bringing our youngest neice with us! she's 14, and so is my oldest boy, so this should work out better now, cuz he has someone other than his little brother to hang with!!

we are getting the camper ready, cleaning inside and out, shopping for the food and now if I can just get the laundry done... I am soooooooooooooooooooo excited and ready.

I was there yesterday and they were out of lime green so I got a bright yellow.
