That's not good :(. I don't wear mine at school. I'd lose it. So I wear it at home and to sleep.

Well, I hate to say it but I was in the same situation as you. I got away with if for 2 days than my parents caught onto me. Just remember the last place you had it at school and look for it there.
On the brighterside, luck sought me through and I found my retainer. Though my mom ordered me a new one but still. Faith rocks and that's all that matters.
Luck will be on your side don't you worry about it!

A lot of kids accidently throw them away with their lunch, in their lunch bag or on their tray. Are you sure that didn't happen?

"Retianer" is the object that you get after you have had braces. It helps keep the teeth together for 3-4 months. I have to wear mine:
Everyday 24/7 until March
March-Everynight
You keep having to wear it less and less because your teeth won't shift much. The teeth are more tempted to shift more after you get your braces off since they want to go back to where they were to start with.
My retainer is glossy sparkles with red, gold, white, blue sparkles. Therefore, making it more obvious to spot.

One of my friends in gradeschool wrapped her retainers up in a napkin and accidentally threw them away at lunch. I'm not sure if she ever found them, which is not much comfort. But I would check at school and see if you can find them anywhere there, or else have your parents order you new ones ASAP, because you don't want to have your teeth move too much. :)

My Mama's way of teaching responsibility; You lose it, You pay for it. I am very careful because it costs almost $500 to replace it. It is either in my mouth, or in my handy little case.http://disboards.com/images/smilies/teeth.gif Away from the dogs so they don't eat it, of course. (I had a dog that ate my Grandma's dentures. There were little teeth all around the basement) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
My retainer is clear with rainbow sparkles.

I know that. There is also a object called a retainer that is used to keep a piercing open. such as a tounge, eyebrow, lip, or nose. I've seen them on ears, but not as common. And I was wondering which one the op ment, because it is easy to lose both. :)

I'm sorry...but I'm sure if you order new ones you can pick out different colors (which is handy if you didn't really like the old colors in the first place... :goodvibes )

I lost my retainer in my room once. It was missing so long that my teeth moved and I had to have braces again (it was that and the orthodontist took the braces off too early). Anyways I found the retainer under my bed a few years later, it was wedged in the corner I can't get to..
