View Full Version : Any Advice for a Newbie Pin Collector?

We leave Thursday for 10 days at WDW! :banana:
I usually buy a few pins when I go, just ones that appeal to me. I have no idea what pins are more valuable than others.
Are there any tips for what to look for while I am there?
I really like to trade with the CM's.....is it proper "pin etiquette " to ask them if any of their pins are special or unique?
I understand that CM's have special CM only pins.....how can I tell which ones they are?
Is there a way to tell what will become a collectors item? Do the ones with dates on them become more valuable or less?
Any tips and pointers is greatly appreciated! :wave2:

The best tip I can give you is to collect what you like. The second tip would be to find a 'focus' for your collection. Pin collecting can get out of hand quite easily if you don't have a focus :rotfl2: (trust me, I am talking from experience)

Most of all HAVE FUN! That is what this hobby is all about (well, that and the great friendships!)
