Yes, that's right! Just got home with it. Our Dollar Stores are called The Dollar Tree. I was there today. It's a cassette tape with Mickey on the front, all dressed in his red white and blue. The case says "Walt Disney Records Presents Voices of Liberty, Timeless Renditions of Classic American Music." The songs on it are: Side One, total time 14:29 - Star Spangled Banner, Shenandoah, Dixie, When Johnny Comes Marching Home, Stephen Foster Medley and Oh, Susanna. Side Two, total time 14:28, America the Beautiful, This Land is Your Land, Fold Medley, You are My Sunshine Medley and Battle Hymn of the Republic. It says it was copyrighted in 1984 and distributed in 1996.

Now I can be Disney AND Patriotic!

Thank you soooo much for posting about this. My husband and I tromp back and forth all day long to hear VoL and then Off Kilter (America to Canada gets to be a long walk after awhile) -- back and forth back and forth.

This made my day. I also fully appreciate that a brain is a terrible thing to waste because my first thought was -- I wonder how much they will cost. We bought 6 copies. One for each car (because I am cheap and don't have a CD player in either car) and extras for family and friends.

I love patriotic and folksy music -- and VoL are incredible. Such a treat for us. I just want to thank those wonderful folks for sharing their talents with us.

I'm so happy to help! Glad others found the tapes at their stores and that my post was helpful.

These tapes sure were popular. I went back to the Dollar Tree today. When I bought my Voices of Liberty tape 2 weeks ago they must have had 50 of them. Today they had ONE left!

Jordan's MOM - Would you tell me where in NC you found the tape? I have 3 Dollar Trees in my area and none had the tape. Thanks.

Doodle,

I found mine in Kannapolis at a dollar store off 29-A beside of Just Save grocery store. They also had a spring time Disney songs. This has been about a month ago now so hope they have some left. Good Luck. This store seems to have a lot of neat Disney things.Check it out if it is anywhere near your area.

Thanks Jordan's MOM for your reply. I'm afraid I'm too far away to make a trip to your Dollar Tree but thanks for the info. as I do get to Charlotte every so often.
