DAY 14 - 28th December 2005

Weather Report: Sunny with a few clouds.

Animal Kingdom and Rainforest Cafe

We woke around 8am and sadly started to pack a few things for our journey home tomorrow
Eventually we set off for Animal Kingdom and arrived there about 9:30am. We wondered over to Asia.

Once in Asia we grabbed some fries and a drink. Nicola, having to be different, had a giant pretzel!

We walked round the Maharajah's trail and got some good photos of the tigers.

From the trail we walked round to the site of the new Everest ride and took some photos. There were a couple of Indian CMs there answering questions about the ride. I complained about the lack of an Indian Restaurant in Animal Kingdom - a chicken vindaloo followed by a ride on Everest - heaven :goodvibes

After looking at the ride we walked round and went into Tarzan Rocks. This was OK the first time we saw it, but it seemed to lack something now. Glad it's being replaced with something new.
Our ADR at Rainforest Cafe was for 2:30pm, so when we came out of Tarzan we headed back towards the entrance via a few shops :)
We arrived at the Rainforest Cafe and didn't have to wait long before getting seated - close to a very noisey gorilla!

Dining Review:
Starters
I had the Caribe Chicken and Julie had the Little Island Caesar Salad. Both very nice. The salad was huge, plenty for 4!
Main Course
I had the Rain Forest Burger. This was a very nice large (1/2 Ib) burger!
Julie and Jade had the Flying Dragon Pizza
Nicola had the Papagallo's Perfection Pizza
The pizzas were very big - one was enough for 2 people!
Desserts
Me and Julie had the Chocolate Diablo Cake
Nicola had the Amazon Apple Cobbler
Jade had vanilla icecream
This was a nice meal and we all came out stuffed!
Total cost - $87.60 (with 10% annual pass discount)

Chocolate Diablo Cake!

After lunch and a look round the Rainforest shop we headed back to the hotel. On the way to the room we bought a Daily Mail and read about the UK weather again - Will we get home tomorrow????!!!! :scared:

Oh my God - that pizza and chocolate cake looks heavenly :)

I agree - Animal Kingdom should have an Indian - in fact, there isn't any Indian food on site at all is there :confused3 It's a shame.
