Question re: Walk around the World

I also posted this on the Community Board but someone suggest I try here, so here goes:

I'm listening to the old Monorail narration on my computer (yes I have no life, so I download these) and the recording says something about the Walk Around the World, "a pathway that will eventually stretch more than 3.5 miles around the 7 Seas Lagoon." Did they decide to drop this plan? It sounds like they planned to circle the entire lagoon, but there's no connection between the MK and the GF, or between the Contemp and the TTC. Does anyone know about this?:confused:

The plan was to have the Walk Around The World extend all around the MK (MK-Contemp.-TTC-Poly-GF-MK), but with the introduction of the Leave a Legacy tiles in Epcot, WDW decided to end the WATW program. There have been talks of restarting the WATW program, as the LaL program is not as popular as Disney had hoped, but nothing is definate yet.
