OK.......we just returned, but we are already planning next years trip!!!!Since we bought PAP this trip, we have to return within the one year time frame so we can use them again. We are planning on returning so that we leave on the day the passes expire next year. Regarding the airfare, i know you have to wait 331 days out from the return flight to buy the airfare. Should I by at that date, or do you think the airfare will go up or down a lot?? This last trip, Delta gave us 4-$59 vouchers to use on the next flight we buy, but that expires in feb 2002, so we need to buy by then or we lose that-that wont happen!! Just wondering what you think the airfare will do between now and then. My 331 window should be on Oct 14. The going rate for as far out as i can book right now is $203.50 RT. Last trip we paid $185. I watched it all year and it didnt go below that except once for 165, but it was a different class two weeks before we left. I seemed to stay around 200 all year for us here in Phx, Az. I did see it hit 400-500 a few times too!! You think i should just buy around 200 and use my vouchers, or wait and see between oct 14 and feb when the vouchers expire and hope it doesnt go up??

I'd wait...a lot can happen in that time (someone could become ill, etc.)

If you want to fly out Wednesday before Thanksgiving and return Sunday night after Thanksgiving and want close to the lowest fare, you had better book 331 days out.
Most other times of the year you are better off "waiting for a sale" (fare war) instead of booking at their "everyday low price".

I'd wait for the time of year you are traveling.

It depends on what time of year you are flying. If its a holiday time, or you are not very flexible, then I would book now. We usually fly the week of 4th of July, and we book as early as we can. We have been able to get very good rates early, and never see the price go down, only up! If you are more flexible, and not traveling during a holiday time, then I would wait and see what sales there are.
