I've found a good fare ($138) with perfect times on Delta.com. My TA didn't mention it or say it was available so I'm guessing I should just get it, but I"ve never bought plane tickets online before, always used my TA. (The first time is always the worst, LOL)
If I buy online, do I get paper tickets that they mail to me? Am I able to pick our seats so we get as close together as possible?
This fare difference adds up to a $265 savings over flying out of Toledo or the next best thing out of Detroit! Any advice/info is appreciated!!!

choose the paper tkts option if you really insist on having paper tkts. there is nothing wrong with an e-tkt.

They will charge you a little extra for paper tickets. An e-ticket will be fine, since you have to check-in at the front counter anyway now.

Sometimes the site might let you make seating requests (expedia does on a lot of the flights); but worst case all you will need to do is call the airline directly once you have your e-ticket and they can do the seat assignment for you.

Hi bought my tickets on line with Delta and opted for the electronic tikcets but you do have an option to get paper tickets. Before you complete the transaction you are able to select your seats Just look closely for the option before you check out. If you do pick the wrong seats you are able to call in and change it if other seats are still available.

We purchased our tickets from Delta.com. It was really easy. One thing I am confused about - when I got to the part for paper or e ticket, I did not see a choice. I called Delta and was told they only do e tickets on their website. I did get an email within a few minutes with a confirmation number and I also received a paper itinerary in the mail within a couple weeks. Is this accurate? I loved the part of picking out our seats, I feel safer everyone sitting together. I swear every flight, we get split up. This is the first time we have purchased online and was easy plus I feel secure on Delta.com. We have usually gone through a travel agent. (nothing against travel agents.)

If you sign up either online or on phone, you can in enroll in the Delta Skymiles account. When you visit their site, just punch in your acct #, and you can view your itinerary at anytime to see if any flights have changed. You also have the option to select different seats as well, and if you go to select seats even though you dont want to change yours, you can see how full the plane is getting. I think its kinda neat. I got e-tix when i bought from them directly, but also received a paper receipt that listed the flights, and i got a new one when they changed them on me. I had no problem at check-in last week as well.

Have used the e-ticket/on-line purchasing many times. I actually got about $10 more off the fare I purchased for doing it online.

DisneyFun1 heading out your way on Delta next month! Cool those temps down for me:D

We've bought tickets from Delta.com several times, and have never had a problem. It's very easy to use as long as you have a FF#. We received a paper itinerary for e-tickets, which details our flights. The prices are usually a few dollars cheaper than calling Delta by phone too.
