We managed to get MIL and FIL to DLP in 2004. MIL had never been abroad, on a ferry... a whole bunch of first.
They loved it. Mind you going with the troops who are DLP mad helped :goodvibes

I'm lucky, my parents LOVE Disney.
They have never been to DLP before, although we did invite them to come with us this August, but they declined as they are off to WDW...TODAY!!!!
They just called me from Yates at Gatwick, and they fly out to AMSo today at 11:40am.
I wish I was there so bad....

Ah I can see where that's coming from, my mum's like that although she agrees to go to Disneyland Resort Paris, since me and my 2 sisters like the place, and also lately I have paid for her to come, now she's not declined that offer.

My parents have changed their tune from You're going there again? to When are you going again? and my dad and his family have even booked to go this summer after hearing us talk about it so much!

My mum took me for my 21st, she has never been since but sort of understands.
At first she just thought I was going through a 'phase' she now accepts but doesnt really understand my madness! I am in the process of convincing her she needs to go to WDW in 2008, her boyfriend agrees so thats half the battle won!

Iwent to DLP in 1992 with my Mum and a few years later, and she loves it. She also went to WDW on Honeymoon (as did we) and she loves that even more, but my step dad isn't so keen on the Parks anymore as he's done them so many times. I'd like to take my mum to DLP again but I can't afford it for her 50th this year and she injured her back a few years ago and shouldn't really go on particular rides but I know she would go on Space Mountain as it was being built when we were there together last!
This trip we are taking MIL and FIL for their first Disney experience. They haven't left the country since emigrating back to UK from OZ 19 years ago, so it will be nice for them and maybe for us, we shall see!

We used to get the old not again but took DF (75) & DM (70) last year and I think they showed everyone their video, even the lady across the road they normally only waved to!
Told them before xmas that we were going back and taking them again, DM burst into tears ans I thought DF was going to break my ribs with the bearhug he gave me :grouphug:
