Anyone know what is being done with the Millenium Village at EPCOT? When I was there a few weeks ago it was closed. Just wondering, what if anything, is being done with the real estate... (Yes, I realize the "Millenium" is over).

We took the Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase tour last year when the Millenium Village was still open. The guide told us that they were going to use it as space for conventions and special events after the Milleniem celebration closed (ie now).

Pity, the building is easily big enough to contain a good sized dark ride, maybe even 2.

The building was constructed with its ultimate use in mind. WS, unlike MK, MGM, and FW had no large indoor conventions facility for use during incliment weather, now they do. The building is now named 'World Showplace' (which was the name of the theater near the Swedish Eggs.)

Where are the large indoor convention facilities @ MK and MGM ?

Oh, and speaking of the Swedish Eggs, does anyone know what happened to them, and if I'd be able to buy them? LOL JK, but I do love them.:D

MK: HOP Rotunda, Adventureland Veranda.
MGM: hmmm... maybe I posted that in error. Seems all of their large buildings are all full.

I was lucky enough to see the building with all the lights on and with nothing in it durring the Pin Celebration. It is REALLY HUGE! If they tear down some of the plants around it and put up some themeing, they would have a huge indoor pavilion, with a huge ride inside of it!
