Have any of you skated at the lovely rink? Do we need to book ahead? Is it for a 1hr slot? Can we arrive anytime during the skating session, or do we have to be there right on time? :rotfl:

I have no idea, since I can't skate. But I know that at 11 pm, there are not that many people around, so I don't think you will have to make reservations :)

You don't have to make reservations - just turn up! But they do have set times when the rink is open, which last winter were

2pm to 4 pm, 4.30pm to 6.30pm and 7pm to 10pm

I don't skate either, but love watching everyone. Definitely makes it feel Christmassy :goodvibes

On January 7, it was still open after 11 pm. Lights were on, loud music, some people on the ice, and quite some people watching. It was fun!

Times may be different this year, or it might castmembers. I think I read somewhere that they can use the rink after it has closed to guests.

When does the rink close, I think I read somewhere that it closed on the 16th April.

According to the DLP website, the rink closed on 4 Apr in 2005. There is no update for 2006, unfortunately.

Thanks Leanne

DD loves ice skating, so maybe she'll be showing her talents off early April.

Me, I'd fall over just looking at the ice :confused3
