****Packaging: Make individual packets of your swap items for each person--you will have 10 sets for each group that you are in. Wrap swap items in a baggie or plastic wrap. Place the individual baggies/plastic wrapped items inside another larger baggie, then place this in the priority mail envelope.


Write your real name, DIS name, and swap group number on a piece of paper and include in each individual's baggie or put on a label on the outside of each idividual package so we know who made each of the items.

****Return: Send a priority mail stamp or $4.05 to cover the costs of mailing your package back to you.

These are the "prototypes" for my borders and squares. I'm a bit nervous because I really couldn't think of anything that great for the MK swap, but I'm pretty proud of these. The borders are almost all done and the squares may have some color differences, but this is the basic idea. I probably won't finish until after next week (we're going to WDW! :cool1: ) BTW, the animals are 3-D.

I'm glad you all like them :blush:. I've always been a title, mat the photo and stick kind of gal, maybe a few stickers on a nice background. I just started back into scrapbooking a few months ago after a two year break due to medical issues and have been trying to be more creative. I've seen what other people have done in swaps and it inspired me to try to do more. I can't wait to see what everyone else does and learn more.

If you could have seen the panic I was in when I signed up to do paper piecing for the Ride swap you would feel far better right now! I went through basically the same thing. Everything I tried was insane with either too many pieces or small pieces.

One of the hints I got from someone might help.... Print pieces like a face right onto the cardstock, then you just need one piece & not 1 for the eyes, 1 for the mouth, etc.

Eventually I was able to think in a different direction. (I was doing the Festival of the Lion King.) I gave up on trying to do an adult Simba or Zazu & went for the logo or sign. I have to admit that the letters on that thing just about did me in (too little) but as you can see the lion was very simple. 3pieces...the body, the mane & the head...add the eyes/mouth, chalk it & it was done.

as for squares... I use the cm square cutter (the big one). Unfortuanantly I have no idea what size that actually is. It might be 2inches and then the other one on the punch is 1.5? I just punch them both and put the smaller one inside the bigger one. (clear as mud right? :goodvibes ) maggie

FYI - I just got one of the large CM square makers. It's marked on the top as 1.5" for the large one & 1.25" for the small one.
