Wednesday 28th December

We noticed a couple of things early on day 4 the first was that the weather was warmer the second was the crowds seemed huge much earlier in the day. It started as soon as we arrived at the car park for MGM. We were as usual there before 9am but the queue for the car park was already quite long and a number of people ignored the parking attendants and just parked where they liked. The tram queue had a 'kill or be killed' atmosphere we had never really seen before and so it was a case of run for your life as soon as it stopped or don't get on this time.

We headed straight for R&R rollercoaster which was 'closed due to technical problems' so got FP for later and went off to queue for T'o'T. Very strange drop sequence this time that seemed to throw you up more than drop you down (fantastic) Took a stroll through the shops on sunset before doing The Great Movie Ride (30 mins longest we have ever queued for this) Stopped off at starring rolls for coffee and a pastry before R&R rollercoaster (I sat this one out) DH & the kids loved it as much as ever.

We then did FP for The Little Mermaid (my favourite) and went off to see Beauty and the Beast. By now the crowds were huge and queues were massive so spent much of the afternoon just strolling and enjoying the sunshine. We stopped at the ABC Commissary for lunch then caught the afternoon Lights Motors Action (much more pleasant than in August when we nearly died of heatstroke)

We had dinner reservations for the Hollywood Brown Derby then went off to find our seats for the wonderful Fantasmic (love it no matter how many times we see it) which always seems different every time we see it.

After the show we headed over to the streets of America to see the Osbourne Family lights. They were absolutely stunning. Everybody was just wandering round in complete amazement. The ever present Christmas music was playing and they were pumping 'foam' snow from the top of the buildings. I don't think I have ever felt so Christmassy (as usual I got quite tearful) we probably spent about an hour just walking round and round again soaking up the atmosphere and looking for the 'hidden Mickeys' in the lights.

Eventually DS declared himself too tired to walk another step so we headed back to the hotel to watch some reality TV and rest up for ..... Universal
