We are going in mid April for 7 days. What type of sunscreen would you recommend for DS6 and DS4? What do you use for yourself? Brand name and what SPF? Thanks.

I LOVE the coppertone regular or sport in the aerosal can. It goes on SO easy for a squirmy toddler and I think it would be easier for young children too.

Ditto. We have a pool and the stuff really does work. And even though it says not to use it on your face, we do. I have my kids stand right in front of me, they take a breath and raise their hand to sginal when they are ready, I spray their face then immediately give their chest a little push back and they take a breath of fresh air and are good to go. Like all sunscreens, put it on and wait at least 5 minutes before going out in the sun. Since both our kids wear glasses and can't wear sunglasses we encourage them to wear caps or hats when out in the sun for a full day. It helps prevent headaches. Have fun!!

Fair Skinned Irish Girl here  And I live in New England. I tend towards 'pasty' white.
We use Bullfrog (DH, DS and I). QicGel Spray SPF 36. It has to be the gel spray, the regular gel gets a little sticky for my liking.
I've started using Blue Lizard Face SPF 30 or 36 on the recommendation of my dermatologist.

We love the Neutrogena sunscreen! You can get either 30-45 spf and has "Dry Touch" on the tube. When you put it on it doesn't stay greasy like sunscreen usually does. We have used it for 2 summers and it does a great job.

Make sure it's a waterprrof/sweatproof type, as just a bit of sweat dripping down the neck can rinse the protection away. I think the Neutrogena mentioned above is sweat/waterproof. It smells nice too!

I use Avon in the SPF they have. I think it is 45 or 50.
