Best Rate Program: Good bye, Good Luck, Good Riddance!

Just got the mousesavers newsletter stating that the Best Rate Program is discontinued. My opinion is that we are better off without it! :cool1:

I couldn't be happier. THANK YOU DISNEY!! Turns out I have a business trip in Orlando, it was quite last minute. I wanted to stay at a Disney resort, but becaue of BRP, I could only book rack rate.

Anyway I booked POP for two nights...during the time I would be on official business. Then, I rented points at OKW for three nigths...my husband is joining me for that part.

I had POP booked at rack rate of $79. 1/27 and 1/28. Once the BRP went belly up, I was able to book POR at the same rate of $79 which really makes me happy because I was very concerned about the noise at POP.

I'm so grateful that I can now book last minute trips! No more non-refundable deposit. I'm a happy DISer.
