Hi Folks. In 2004, the three of us wife and son, (5 yrs.old at the time) booked a WDW Vacation at an on-site hotel (Pop Century). We were each given a plastic card that was good for our room access, paying for merchandise (charging it to the room), theme park access, and Fastpass.
As we were originally thinking about staying off-site, if I've already pre-purchased 3 Universal "pay-for-two-get-5" days passes. We are now thinking about staying on-site.
My question is: are we still eligible for Universal Express access if staying on-site but as a "hotel-only" guest and not as a "package plan" guest being that the passes were pre-purchased separately?
Thanks in advance.

No matter how you purchased your tickets, you can still use your hotel card as your express pass. Have fun!

Absolutely, Ive never done a package. I always book separately. I just put my room key, park ticket, and AAA card in a lanyard around my neck and thats all i need to carry in the park. Buy lunch or snacks with room key and dont forget to use AAA for your discount. (orAP if you have that)

if you have decided to stay on site and buy a package and i
have already bought tickets, save them for another trip. they will not expire.
with the package, you get length of stay passes tied into your room key.
i have bought the package before but only when it was to my advantage financially.
i received a room on site, passes, free 5 x 7 picture (did if for hulk), lanyard room card holder and a meal at the kitchen.
when i broke it down, i did come out ahead. i last did the package 6 years ago. have not hooked onto a great deal with it since so i buy separately now.
another package that is good, really it is, is the stay 3 nights get a 4th night free with tickets. the room cost runs cheaper that way. the tickets though are not discounted. this is only good if you are planning on 4 nights originally.
i prefer to book room with AAA discount, and buy tickets on line as they are being held at the 2005 prices. i use my AAA for discounts for food and merch at the park and city walk.
