Just wondering if anyone has been to Green Meadows Farm and what they thought about the experience? Sounds like something my dd would love to do, but I haven't heard it mentioned here before. It says they have over 300 animals, everyone milks a cow, train and hayrides.....basically a petting zoo. Any info would be great! Thanks!!

Havent' been to Green Meadow in Florida but have been to the one in New Jersey back about 8 years ago on a class trip with my daughter. Was one of the most fun trips for the little kids about 5-8 years old. Milking a cow was someting that my daughter will never forget. First time my little city girl got up really close to any farm animal. Got to hold a chicken in her arms. Petted goats, saw baby pigs, just an absolutely wonderfull day. The place was very well kept up and the staff just wonderful. From what I understand there are a few locations around and it is owned by the same family. I think it would be a nice break from the parks for about half a day or so. It was a great day in the sun for us and I hope your DD enjoys it as much as mine did.

Check the web site (http://www.greenmeadowsfarm.com/index.html). I have seen the promos. but never been there. It would be a great experience, if you love to touch some farm animals. If you go, please provide yourself with anti-bacterial lotion or hand sanitizing lotion. While is safe to touch the farm animals, I don't like the risk of getting an ilness, while touching the cow's milking area!

We went on a class field trip when my daughter was in kindergarten (shes now in 5th grade). Everyone had a good time. They got to milk a cow, pick up chickens, ride a pony, take a train ride, etc. We went right around Halloween and they also had a huge pumpkin patch and each kid got to take one home.
