Need opinions on best view, etc. for the Courtyard by Marriot

Just booked the great rate of $25 a night for next week at the Courtyard by Marriot.

Is every room about the same? Is it better to be on the Pleasure Island side of the building?
Is there an advantage of view being on a higher floor? Any clues would be appreciated.

Pleasure Island side is better for fireworks viewing but is also the pool side. I had a 6th floor room and could still the fireworks from my balcony. Every once in a while I could hear the pool "noises" too (kids, etc.)
