Single Mom with two kids

Does anyone have advise traveling around Walt Disney with two small kids ages 5 and 6?

On the ride, can three people sit together? Will I be able to go on rides with them and sit in the same seat?

Any other advise about any other the parks at Walt Disney?

Although I haven't been to WDW lately, at other theme parks that I have gone to alone with my two dd's....if we all three couldn't fit in a ride...I rode alone and put them together right in front of me.

Space Mountain is a single seat/rider type of ride, but you could put the kids in front of you. I can't think of any other rides that you wouldn't be able to fit one adult and two small kids. BTMRR usually puts two people to a row, but I've seen many single parent-two kids in a row. Splash Mountain is contoured for two people, but my hubby rode with our two kids - he sat in the middle.

Im visiting MK and AK at Easter with my 2 year old and 3 year old.I know from past experience there are lots of rides the 3 of us will be able to go on.

You must be 7 to ride a ride alone. So if it requires you to sit in separate seats/cars, then you will not be able to ride. Howver--for Splash and Thunder--you should be able to sit 3 across no problem. The seats fit 2 adults, 2 adults + 1 kid, or 1 Adult + 2 kids--this is typically YMMV with any size issues of course. But this arrangement works for our family. Hubby is overweight (not obese) and I'm on the high end of normal weight.

The 7 rule was told to me for Goofy Barnstormer. I would think the same rule would apply to space mountain as well.

My kids were 4 and 6 our first trip and I didn't find traveling to WDW solo to be a problem. Most rides that you will ride you can ride together in the same seat. In fact my kids are now 10 and 13 and we will still ride together sometimes. ;) The only trouble I had when my kids were that age was getting food to a table at the counter service places when they were busy. Trying to watch little ones, carry a tray, get napkins, scan for a seat, and maneuver arround people can be hard. Other than that WDW is very easy for the single parent.

I'm a single mom who first took my Dkids when they were 8 and 4. We were not allowed to sit 3 in the seat at Splash Mountain,* so DD rode alone in the seat in front of DS and me. We had already established several ground rules before leaving for that trip, based on the rides' height restrictions and "fright factors" - both kids understood that we would not be able to do *everything* and that we would return for any rides that we had been unable to try that time. In fact, we did return later just for a one-day pass to MGM so that DS could ride RNRC once he'd grown tall enough! Anyway, it helped all of us to know our limits ahead of time, both in terms of what the kids could do as well as the limits of having only one parent in the group. We had a wonderful time!

*Exception: we were the first people to ride BTMRR one day, so a CM took us to the front of the line for SM and we were given a log all to ourselves. In that case, we were allowed to sit three across - I still have the photo. :) I'm not sure why it was allowed in that case but not any of the other times we rode, though.

We just went this past November and while I am not a single mom, we sometimes had an odd number of people in our ride group and we did ride with 3 on Splash and BTMR. On splash my DD7 rode in between DH and GP. Also did this on BTMR with DD15 and DD15's friend. I would take my kids on a solo trip in a heartbeat if DH couldnt go.
